We've all known that the sixth and final season of LOST will be bloody. That's almost a given for any final season of a show as populated and epic as LOST. But don't think you'll have to wait even a few episodes for the first big death of the season. E! Online's Kristin dos Santos offered us two choices for who the death would be, and both of them involve our favorite Republican Guardsman: Sayid Jarrah.
"One of the following is true," dos Santos hinted. "Sayid dies, or Sayid kills Jack."
Both don't really bode well for Sayid, especially since the second option is about as likely as the Island being on the back of a giant turtle.
We last saw Sayid near death in "The Incident," after he had been shot in the abdomen by Roger Linus. He was still clinging onto life as the Incident happened at the Swan station, but he was fading fast. It looks as though Sayid will succumb to his wounds in the first two hours of the season premiere, "LA X."
But that doesn't mean we won't be seeing Sayid for the rest of the season. Au, contraire. Filming reports have shown Sayid participating in scenes with characters like Mikhail.
No, the real deal is that Sayid will die in the 1977 timeline, but will be resurrected in the Temple by the Others. That's the current buzz on several spoiler sites. Speculators think that Sayid will in fact die later on in the season, but is safe for the first half of the season, at least.
Having trouble wrapping your head around that? You're not the only one. But this storyline is certain to be one of the least complex storylines for LOST's sixth season, which will likely have you scratching your head as you struggle to figure out its complexities as it builds up to its must-anticipated conclusion in May.
