Next week LOST's fifth season comes to what has the potential to be an explosive end, literally. Picking up where Daniel Faraday left off, Jack has plans of hauling the Jughead bomb to the Swan Station site – aka "the hatch" – to detonate it, altering the future in such a way that oceanic 815 never crashes. The question is, how is he going to move that gigantic bomb? Here's the answer. Beware, minor LOST spoilers ahead.
The below clip, courtesy of Fancast, reveals just how Jack and company are going to get Jughead out of that complex of underground tunnels and on to where it needs to go boom. Now the big question is, will it be that simple? Consider this: if Jack does alter the timeline so that Oceanic 815 lands safely nearly 30 years later, he also changes the future of the Dharma Initiative and the hostiles on the island, and to what end? – things are just never easy on LOST, are they? The plane lands, but is there still a purge? Is Dharma wiped out? Is the leadership of the hostiles changed in a way that allows a more unstable force to take control of the island? I guess that is what LOST season six is all about.
The LOST season 5 finale, "The Incident" airs next Wednesday from 9:00pm est till 11:00pm est, and is preceded by a clip show designed to bring casual fans up to date, and annoy hardcore LOST zealots.
