Your friendly neighborhood Spoiler Guy isn't just a spoiler junkie, he's also a LOST junkie. Sometimes, he likes to mix his two addictions. And whenever he does, the scoops are usually pretty big.
Take, for instance, the bit of scoopage I gave you a couple of days ago about the huge body count that will be happening before the end of the season. I can know tell you how at least several of those deaths happen (and when), thanks to an on-set extra who shared the details of his scene with DarkUFO. According to the extra, it's all the fault of one little backpack.
He told me the following:
1) That he was playing one of Widmore's goons.
2) He and a few other fellows were having a shoot-out on the island with some of the Losties and that his character is responsible for wounding Kate (he called her Evie) in the arm.
3) That the Losties will board the sub (obviously a new one, since the last one was blown-up).
4) That Flocke gives Jack a backpack that Jack takes on the sub with him.
5) Unknown to Jack, the backpack has a bomb in it.
6) The bomb explodes and only 5 of the Losties survive. He said he thinks the five who survive are Jack, Sayid, Hurley, Kate and Claire but is not sure. (I cannot imagine how he would know this...seems like he left out some info.).Source: J@DarkUFO
Obviously, the sub that's being mentioned is the one that Widmore arrived in at the end of last week's "Dr. Linus." But it looks like that sub will be meeting the ocean floor in episode fourteen of the season, "The Candidate." The Man in Black is all to blame for that, as he apparently has some explosives that send the sub up in flames.
Of course, there are some pretty big holes in the extra's story, like why Jack didn't at least check the backpack before boarding, or how the source knows who survived the explosion. I would take the list of names with a grain of salt, but the rest appears to be true.
Of course, the list doesn't even matter, considering we don't even know who boards the sub in the first place. If Hurley, Kate, Claire, Jack, and Sayid are all that's left, it means that Jin, Sun, Sawyer, Miles, Ilana, Frank, Ben and Richard are all unaccounted for -- and I can't imagine all of them being killed such a long time before the finale.
What do you think? Would the writers pull this big of a wipeout so far away from the end? Who do you hope survives the explosion?
