Mark Pellegrino Joins 'Supernatural' in Recurring Role

Mark Pellegrino just might be the new go-to guy in Hollywood when you need a pivital character already filled with the show's mythology.  Last year Pellegrino was cast in the season 5 finale episode of Lost as Jacob, a mysterious character we've heard mentioned on the series since season 3, but never actually seen.  And now, according to Michael Ausiello at EW.com, Pellegrino has been tapped for a recurring role on Supernatural next season as…Lucifer.

For the Lost fans out there who are concerned about whether Pellegrino will return for Lost's final season, fear not.  Though no official word has been given from ABC, the fact that Pellegrino is listed as a 'recurring' character and not a regular is a sign that he will probably be doing both shows.  Which, really, is kinda cool.  He will be playing pivotal, never before seen characters on two sci-fi, mythology ladden shows.  One, in its final season and the other, possibly in its last season as well.  Cudos to Pellegrino on landing these roles and I can't wait to see more of what he has to offer both shows.
