Christina Hendricks wants to play Wonder Woman

Guys, this is a match made in superhero heaven.

Christina Hendricks, one of the many beautiful and famous stars of AMC's Mad Men, might be nabbing a pretty iconic role. The actress, who plays Joan Harris on the Emmy-winning show, appeared on Rachael Ray earlier this week, where she dropped a bomb about playing the superheroine Wonder Woman for a much-talked-about television adaptation.

"I heard that rumour too - I don't know where it got started but I love it!" she enthused. "I've been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life! I'd love to [do it]. That would be such fun. Let's put it out there!"

The series is being pitched by Boston Legal's David E. Kelley, who is also known for creating Ally McBeal. The character hasn't appeared in live-action on television since Linda Carter portrayed the character in the 1970s.

Despite Hendricks's red locks, I would love to see her step into the iconic role of Wonder Woman, so long as it doesn't detract from her role as Joan on Mad Men. That comes first for me.

Do you agree? Would you like to see Hendricks as a superheroine? Is she right for the role? Let us know in the comments below!

Here are a few dozen reasons why we think Christina would rock the Wonder Woman suit.

All due respect to ms. hendricks, I think WW needs someone a with a bit of a more athletic build, and not just someone who would look good in the suit.

I'd be all for Christina Hendricks playing wonder woman, She'd probably be required to do a little body toning tho.

    I support this…

"Let's put it out there?" Understatement of the week.

Although I think she'd do fine as Wonder Woman, the data coming out thus far on David E. Kelley's remake is not encouraging by any stretch of the imagination. NBC is desperate for a hit, and Harry's Law doing OK in the ratings is the only reason they let this go to pilot.

Why not just do a movie. I mean honesly. Diana Prince already had her show with Linda Carter in the 1970s, just do a film already.

i agree, make the movie first. cast miss hendricks. if it's a good fit, do the tv pilot. toning up and having the diana prince attitude will also be a casting requirement.

I can see it. After my eyes left her massive breasts I mean…after that moment I was actually able to imagine it in full– and yes I'd say with the right prep she can really pull it off. I think my brain actually shut down for a second there. Lol

  12. JusticeFan says:

I like that move if her hair is Brunette and she is the same height as Wonder Woman… 5'10'

  13. vashjinn says:

Sorry no.  She's entirely too busty for the role.  I hate to say it guys … big girls like hers don't function well when you're trying to haul butt after bad guys.  She'll fall out of the suit or give herself a black eye …

  14. GothamGirl says:

They should be looking at Olympic athletes. Duh.

  15. dooperman says:

oh mama. she has got some big jugs no doubt! i wonder how she would look in Wonder Woman’s costume. Mamma mia. but I agree with Anonymous. She would make a much better power girl with her gigantic melons.

This is the first hot actress we've seen since the late 50s. Small wonder all the women here are hissing and spitting. She could play WWoman. She could play Mother Teresa for all I care. Men, this is what women are SUPPOSED to look like. God Bless Us One and All !!
