Going into the second episode of the Mob Wives season, I was cautiously optimistic about how the footage of the fight between Drita, Karen, and Ramona would be presented. Too often, the reality fight build-up and aftermath is much more dramatic than the altercation itself, but in the case of Mob Wives, physical fights have never been shied away from. These women can scrap as good as or better than every other "wife" cast, so I knew it'd be more than the typical 5-10 minute fight this time around.
Little did I know that the fight itself would take up over half the episode and escalate from a pseudo-reconciliation to an all out brawl that threatened Junior's bail status. Instead of focusing on what happened as a result of the two-on-one jumping of Drita D'avanzo, we were heavily immersed in the action, following the wives around as they tended to injuries and tried to cool down. And, not to be a prisoner of the moment, the episode ended up as perhaps one of the greatest installments of reality TV I've ever seen as a result. Everything was allowed to breathe and accordingly felt more real in the process; we didn't get cut out of the best action, nor did it feel overly edited to the point of producer interference. It was an extra real episode of Mob Wives that was just awesome (and slightly scary) to watch unfold.
But what does one make of a display like that?
Well, for one, Karen and Ramona are just the worst. I didn't have a particularly high opinion of either before tonight, but the entire incident has pretty much turned me off of ever liking either one. You can't get on your high horse about how you're a gangster, you're a bad bitch, "check my bloodline" when you A) jump another person and B) pull hair/get in licks while that person is being held. What kind of punk moves were those?! I mean, isn't Karen the one who mocked Drita last season for pulling hair on the roof top? So Drita pulls hair and that makes her a coward, but you tag team the girl with your "cousin" and you're all of a sudden Laila Ali? (Her gloating the next day was gross. Congrats, you ganged up on someone much stronger than you.) Ramona's no better, coming across as a juvenile troublemaker by forcing herself on the roof with Big Ang, getting in the middle of two hyped up women, and, worst of all, almost getting poor Derek murked over a case of mistaken identity. I know it's a chaotic atmosphere and one can miss details in the madness, but considering the crowd at Renee's party, wouldn't you think twice before fingering a suspect like that?
If something happened to Derek at the hands of Junior and his boys, she'd have more than just the blood from her mouth on her hands and that's all types of irresponsible.
You'd think with all this going on, Renee would have been furious, but the mama bear in her came out in full force. Not only did she try to distract Junior enough for Derek to get out of the parking lot ("Junior, I wanna go home!" x 100000 while running around barefoot), but she had a very Real World moment in the car with Drita after the two managed to shake Ramona. You had to feel for the poor woman, though. Even though I had to laugh at her "OH!" fit when she saw what was going on, all she wanted to do was celebrate the fact that she didn't die. A night of presents, food, and compliments isn't that much to ask and she deserves a night to call her own without having to stop Junior from going to jail or breaking up fistfights. After the first couple of episodes of season one of Mob Wives, I pegged Renee as being the roughest customer out of the bunch, but in actuality, she's the most sensitive. She may revel at times in the lifestyle, but you can tell how much it pains her and an episode like this really shows that. There's no normal in mob life, not really, and that's what Renee seems to be craving right now. I had a tiny bit of hope for her happiness when Junior (her normal, so to speak) told her he was in love with her, but judging by the previews, it looks like the problems that broke them up 12 years ago are still there and need to be dealt with.
Well, that was a hell of an episode of Mob Wives, you guys. These ladies are no joke and while I hate that things had to go as far as they did tonight, it made for a great spectacle. I'm curious, however, how it'll affect the rest of the season, particularly Renee's allegiance. She seemed to be over any and everybody at the party, but in the reality game, being a floater can sometimes be a bad thing and I wouldn't be shocked if she had to "choose" later on this season. Until a decision is made, the shaky ground that Mob Wives will be treading on could produce even more shocking, outrageous, and delicious reality television.

Did you watch the same show I did? Drita summoned Karen to talk and then she threw the first punch! Drita is a liar and Ramona was just trying to get her friend away from someone who throws punches like an animal for no reason. Drita was the one who left crying!
Sweetie….I think you missed a few important details. Allow me to break this down for you and anyone else who may not have caught exactly what happened. First–Drita didn't "summon" Karen, Big Ange suggested that it was time to resolve the issue, after which Drita agreed and said if she could get her to come out there, then she would be willing to talk to her. Karen comes out, and this is what happens word for word:
Drita: Listen, listen, listen to me, please. This is killing me, I'm not comfortable around you, I can't live like this- I can't do nothing about it……I'm not cool with it, at all…..etc
Karen: Let me tell you what I have a problem with- I have a problem with you……We were friends, blah, blah starts saying the same shit she been saying- it's not about Lee it's about us, blah. Then she says, and I quote: "We stopped talking for so many years……" So she is admitting that they were not talking for YEARS…..HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU STILL FRIENDS IF YOU DON'T TALK FOR YEARS. Fuck Outta Here
Just looking at the beginning of that convo, does it not seem like Karen still has problems with Drita, even though Drita actually is making an effort?? Does it not seem like Karen is admitting that her and Drita stopped talking before Drita got with Lee??? Hmmm….
Next, Karen says I thought we really did have a good friendship and Drita RESPONDED TO THIS with
"I never said we weren't friends, I always said yes, we WERE friends, I never denied we HAD a friendship"

Karen is delusional, and clearly jealous. She doesn't make sense. Karen said "You told everyone I fucked your ex when I never did that" Drita responded saying "Oh, so he was lying?" She didn't back down, she obviously got that from somewhere and has said it Karen's FACE plenty of times. Karen even said on the rooftop that they hooked up, she is denying they actually had sex, but regardless, she HOOKED UP WITH HIM. If that ain't double talking idk what is.
Karen also accused Drita of telling ppl she whupped Karen's ass, and though Drita denied starting that rumor, Karen kept going with the shit. Then shit gets confrontational so Ramona walks over and ACTS like she's trying to diffuse the fight, but really she's talking shit along with Karen. Now Drita's pissed cause she feels double teamed, so she swings…..oh and BTW Ramona's lip was busted right after Drita hit her in the mouth, BEFORE Derek supposedly hit her…..check the clip. Also Karen didn't even swing until Drita was being pulled away by Derek, which is cowardly as fuck if you ask me. Once again, check the tape.
In summary: Ramona and Drita are both weak as fuck……after the fight was over, they noticed Ramona's lip was bleeding and tried to blame Derek when Ramona's lip was clearly busted right after Drita hit her with a right hook. Then, Karen even admits she didn't know she hit Drita that hard. Maybe because she didn't….duh! C'mon people….even if Karen did black Drita's eye (I don't believe it) it was after Drita was getting pulled away, not before. Drita also states someone elbowed her in the eye- which is more plausible because the inside of her eye was red, not just the outside. Check your facts, these bitches are just tryna look good- Drita is the real fighter, and she defended herself because she felt attacked by Karen and Ramona, not for no reason. Then Drita was crying because she felt set up by Renee to get jumped…..I mean really this shit is obvious. -_-

Were we watching the same show? BIG ANG was the one who suggested they make-up and Drita agreed. Then, Karen came out looking for a fight when Drita was just trying to talk. I think it's more "friendship moral code" than it is law. Personally, I think it's tasteless and tacky to even CONSIDER dating someone your close friend dated at all, especially when the relationship with your friend was a serious one. They LIVED together so it was obviously serious.

Actually, Big Ang talked to Drita and convinced her that they can be friends again, When Karen came out to talk she was hostile and wouldn't hear that Drita wanted to squash the fighting. Ramona wasn't only trying to get her friend away…………..she was looking for a fight. Drita felt set up, she was alone and uncomfortable. I watched the show.
Drita tried to make peace, Karen just keeps asking for something to happen so what's Drita to do. Ramona is stupid, she should mind her own business. Drita at least handles her self like a lady and looks like one too, unlike Karen who looks like a fat drag queen.

I wouldn't say Drita was the "real fighter". She is the real talker. She is a fit woman and strong, but her fighting days were when she was a kid. All this talk of putting people in hospitals, not pulling hair, when that's exactly what she did to Karen in the finale of season 1, wrenches to throats, etc., etc., etc., sorry, but if she ever takes a wrench to somebody's throat, she'd land in prison. She's been talking and talking and TALKING about how tough she is constantly when the reality is that if Derek Tobacco hadn't sheilded her, she would of gotten hurt. While two on one is not fair, the way Drita talks you'd think she would be able to put up a good fight without going down even against two, whether the tag team won or not, but it didn't seem like she was doing much of anything.
As for Karen and Ramona, what a couple of witches, they knew damn well that Derek DID NOT hit Ramona, they were just riled and angry because he sheilded and saved Drita so they caused a big huge commotion against poor Derek. In Drita's defense, it was clear she was genuinely trying to make up, but Karen is still holding a grudge and she was holding a grudge about Lee even when she first arrived in Staten Island, so a reconciliation wasn't going to happen and Big Ang should of just talked to Drita and not tried to get involved further. As for Junior, what the hell does he care about Ramona, he needs to think of himself and Renee, why should he be going after Derek even if he had hit Ramona, what the hell is stupid Ramona to him, when he should of known damn well, Derek didn't and those two women were just out for blood from an innocent man because he showed true friendship to Drita and stepped in. I'm tired of Drita's tough talk. She's not a man, she's not a gangster, she's a strong woman, yes, a fit woman, yes, but in the end she was crying and upset like any other woman, and thankfully being protected by a man, a good man.

It just amazes me how everyone have different takes on what happen after watching the same episode. All the women were in the wrong but Drita need to work more on her boxing technique. This whole thing has just gotten way out of control. It obviously bothers Karen a lot that Drita married Lee. She can say all she wants that it has nothing to do with Lee and that it's all about their friendship. I'm assuming things ended badly with Karen and Lee, which is probably where all the anger is coming from. Karen hates Lee and expected Drita to feel the same way about him because she was supposed to be her friend. And, in their lifestyle, where loyalty is supposed to be everything, Drita can say all she wants that they werent' really friends anymore – but, the bottom line is that they were friends when whatever happened between Karen and Lee happened. Its a weird situation – but, in the end, Drita got screwed by Lee, too. Maybe they can bond over that and realize that no guy is worth all this crap!
What set Drita off the edge was not Karen it was Ramona. When she tried to make an effort of a pety rivalry with KAREN, there comes her blabbing sidekick, Ramona. When she saw Ramona come over and interrupt and talk about her own issue with Drita which was also pety, Drita then felt set up and hit Ramona, who had a bloody mouth because of it and thought a man hit her. This mess didn't start on the balcony. Ramona started it. She was the one telling Karen to "stop being nice". Hyping the mess up instead of saying they should talk and make up. That's what a GROWN WOMAN would have said. The woman came on the show starting trouble and stirring the pot. Anyone would have done the same thing Drita did. She was told Karen wanted to talk to her. She thought they were going to make up then Karen comes to her like Tommy the Tough guy. Then here comes Lucifer, watch dog for Karen talking smack. They were in Drita's face talking crazy and Drita threw the first punch. What was she suppose to do, stand there and let them throw her off of the balcony? It was Ramona who almost got an innocent man beat to death and it was she and Karen who were running around screaming and tearing up things like animals. I'm a Drita, Carla and Renee girl, but I'm writing because I need to emphasize something. Check the tape. Drita went to the party alone and wanted to wait alone on the deck until Renee arrived and planned to leave after she saw Renee. She was nervous the Karen & Ramona were on the other side of the room but stayed to herself. I love Big Ang but it was her who came to Drita and said she was going to ask Karen to come over and talk to Drita to see if the could settle things. Drita wasn't too hip on doing it there but Big Ang arranged it, but did try to keep Ramona out of it.
My other problem is even though I enjoy the show it is sad that it is reality and not fiction. To see all these people so happy, so rich, and having no morals to brag about it. The Mob killed, robbed, gambled, threatened people, and many more things to have what they have and we are the ones they took it from. They should show some humility along with their bragging.
