Expect two big name guest stars to show up on the November 18th new episode of Modern Family, along with a storyline that focuses on Claire and Phil’s anniversary.  Let the laughs begin.  ABC has released some sneak peeks, promo photos and a synopsis for your viewing pleasure.

 Sneak Peeks, Photos & Synopsis   Modern Family 1.08 Great ExpectationsEXPECTATIONS RUN HIGH WHEN AN ANNIVERSARY AND A BIG NIGHT OUT ARE IN THE WORKS, ON ABC’S “MODERN FAMILY”

Guest starring Oscar-nominated Edward Norton (“Primal Fear,” “The Incredible Hulk”) as Izzy LaFontaine and Elizabeth Banks (“Seabiscuit,” Zack and Miri Make A Porno”) as Sal.

“Great Expectations” – With a history of giving bad gifts, Claire is determined to surprise Phil with an amazing anniversary present – a private performance by one of their favorite musicians, Izzy LaFontaine! However, it turns out to be a surprise in more ways than one. Meanwhile, Mitchell and Cameron call up their party-girl bestie, Sal, for a long overdue night out on the town, on “Modern Family,” WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

“Modern Family” stars Ed O’Neill as Jay Pritchett, Julie Bowen as Claire Dunphy, Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy, Sofía Vergara as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell Pritchett, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley Dunphy, Nolan Gould as Luke Dunphy, Ariel Winter as Alex Dunphy and Rico Rodriguez as Manny Delgado.

Guest cast include Edward Norton as Izzy LaFontaine, Elizabeth Banks as Sal and Reid Ewing as Dylan.
