Ah, that staple of prime-time comedy: the dysfunctional family. So many sitcoms take a swing at this formula and crash and burn; not Modern Family, though. Modern Family has become synonymous with laughing out loud, the show is seriously that funny. Beside the genius talent making it all work, the family itself is a definite refreshing take on the formula. If you're not watching it, watch it - even if comedy isn't your thing you'll love it. Here are a few clips from tonight's episode to entice you further.

"Come Fly with Me" - After some nudging, Jay begrudgingly takes Phil out to fly his new model airplane -- that is until a maneuver goes awry. Meanwhile, when Gloria drops Manny off to play with Luke, she ends up volunteering to take Alex dress shopping, and Claire finds herself sitting down for an unexpected brother and sister heart-to-heart with Manny, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"Modern Family" stars Ed O'Neill as Jay Pritchett, Julie Bowen as Claire Dunphy, Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy, Sof’a Vergara as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell Pritchett, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley Dunphy, Nolan Gould as Luke Dunphy, Ariel Winter as Alex Dunphy and Rico Rodriguez as Manny Delgado.
