Over the last year, Universal Studios theme park has made many changes as the attraction always aims to provide the best experience for visitors and to keep up with current trends. One addition to the theme park is the ‘Fast & Furious- Supercharged’ ride and this has now been officially opened.
The new attraction is based on the popular ‘[easyazon_link identifier=”B0018OFN1S” locale=”US” tag=”tvovermind00a-20″]Fast & Furious[/easyazon_link]’ series of films. In recent weeks, the ride has been undergoing technical rehearsals in preparation for its official opening. The ride takes visitors to the attraction of a high-speed chase in a Los Angeles street setting. It also features some of the actors from the series of movies, such as Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, and Vin Diesel.
Universal Studios in Orland is hosting a special evening event to mark the opening. Although they have not yet revealed exactly who will be attending, they did disclose that several superstars from the films would feature in the event. The park’s blog says they are planning to live-stream the event.
Universal Studios has a Virtual Line system, of which ‘Fast & Furious- Supercharged’ is included. This system allows the park’s visitors to use an app or the kiosks near the entrance to the attraction to choose a time they would like to go on a ride. Some of the other rides that have been included in the Virtual Line system include Pteradon Flyers at Islands of Adventure and Ride Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. The latter is also a new ride at the park.
Those who want to try the new ‘Fast & Furious- Supercharged’ ride will find it located in Universal Studios’ San Francisco section. Its position is the former home of the Disaster ride and a theatre. The theatre was where ‘Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue’ was performed in the past.
The ‘Fast & Furious- Supercharged’ ride is not the only new feature you will find if you visit Universal Studios in Orlando. They have added a new water theme park called Universal’s Volcano Bay which features a combination of slow, relaxing rides, alongside adrenalin-inducing rides that offer big thrills.
The Harry Potter section of the theme park also has a new feature in the form of an evening entertainment attraction. The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle is hosted on select nights. Visitors can watch from Hogsmeade Village as the spectacular light show takes place using the magnificent castle as its backdrop.
Of course, there are plenty of other rides and attractions to enjoy in addition to these new features. Many of the long-standing favorite rides and attractions remain for the enjoyment of visitors. As there are so many things to do, people will often stay at one of the resort’s hotels as this gives them the time to pack their itinerary to the maximum.
This is another area of development at Universal Studios as three new resorts are being added this year. The first is Universal’s Aventura Hotel, which I open from August 2018 onwards. The other two hotels are Surfside Inn and Suites and Dockside Inn and Suites. Both of these value hotels are located at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort.
