Tom Cruise or no Tom Cruise, Princess Ahmanet or no Princess Ahmanet, I just can’t get on board to see The Mummy. Unless Brendan Fraser miraculously becomes a part of this movie before its June 9th release then I’m afraid I’ll be waiting for it to come to TV, and even then I’ll give it about 10 minutes. If I’m not totally convinced in those 10 minutes this is a movie worth watching, it’s being shelved permanently. Nothing against Tom Cruise but come on. This is Fraser’s territory.
But I will say this. This new teaser and featurette on Princess Ahmanet might convince you that a reboot is not the worst idea for this franchise. Then again, like I said, they couldn’t at least give Fraser a bit part in this movie? Throw the guy a bone will ya?
