I must be taking crazy pills today because I’m featuring not one but two stories that contain clowns and I’m deathly afraid of clowns. However, this one was just too good to pass up. In an age of movie reboots and television reboots, there are also a fair amount of music reboots that are worth listening to. I’ve mentioned before how I’m not a huge fan of the movie reboot or television reboot even though I admit there is a time and place for them. However, when it comes to song reboots I always love to hear new interpretations of old songs. I mean whoever thought that Gin and Juice could become a sick country song? This is why I like musical reboots. They can come out of nowhere.
Insane Clown Posse comes out of nowhere to rewrite a 15 year old song by none other than Christina Aguilera. Remember the 2002 hit “Beautiful?” Well, if you can imagine a new name and video that features really freaky looking clowns then you’d be getting “Indestructible” by the Insane Clown Posse. While ICP changes the lyrics considerably, instead of trying to look at their inner beauty this is as big a “screw you” type message to the haters as you’re going to see. Haters probably being the FBI. It’s hard to believe these guys have been around for 25 years. Yup.
