WeddingrecptionThe next day.  Betty sits in her housecoat with the kids, watching Walter Cronkite talk about Oswald.  Don walks in and says she should get ready, it's almost two.  "Really, Don?" she asks.  She suggests the wedding might be canceled, but Don says he's not calling Roger to find out.  He doesn't want to sit in front of the TV all day, and if the wedding is off, they'll just go out to dinner.  Betty looks like she would rather have a root canal, but gets up to go get dressed.  Don tells the kids to stay there until Carla gets there.

Pete and Trudy's.  They're ready for the wedding too, but Pete wonders what the point is.  "It's one thing to go to this wedding and act like I don't hate them.  It's another thing to go and act like the President hasn't been murdered," he says.  He has a point.  Trudy still isn't convinced.    Pete goes on to tell her some of the awful things people said, "The man made a lot of enemies," and that Harry was calculating how many commercials wouldn't air (which, ouch, Harry, that's something beyond callus).  Trudy finally gets indignant and says she doesn't care what your politics are, you don't kill the President.  Pete anounces he's not going, she can go and make excuses for him if she wants, but Trudy doesn't care anymore either, and they stay home.

Betty and Don are at Margaret's wedding reception.  It's a sparse crowd, and Roger tells everyone to move up to the front tables and help themselves to the prime rib and filet of sole, and he means help themselves, since there are no waiters.

Mona's table.  Mona's date talks about bombing Texas while everyone looks extrememly uncomfortable.  Roger walks over and says problem solved, but Mona informs him the cake isn't being delivered.  "Shit," is Roger's deadpan reply before stealing Mona's drink out of her hand.

Henry walks in to the reception and greets a pretty young woman with a two cheek kiss.  They walk over to Margaret's table and offer their congratulations where we learn that's Henry's daughter.  Oooooooh!  Betty, who hasn't been able to take her eyes off him, looks relieved.

There's a group watching TV in the kitchen, including Cooper, Harry, Ken and Jane.  Oswald protests he's a patsy as Roger comes back.  Roger snaps his fingers for someone to go buy a cake.  Roger tells Jane he needs her out there, he's about to give his toast.  "I've heard your toast a million times, the President is dead.  And I'll tell you something else, there's no one at our table," Jane snottily replies.  "Will you keep an eye on her?"  Roger growls as he walks off.
