Sal stands in a phone booth in a park surrounded by leather boys. He's talking to his wife and saying he's going to be late, and not to wait up. Oh, Sal.
Betty's asleep, but Don's still in his suit. "Betts. Hilton just called, I'm going in," he lies, shaking her awake. "I didn't hear the phone," she sleepily murmurs.
Surprise, surprise, Don's at Miss Farrell's door. "Someone's going to see you," she says with a trace of annoyance. "Then let me in," Don says evenly. "What can I do for you?" she asks. "I don't know. I wanted to talk." "Right, says the man as he unbuckles his pants," she replies. "What do you want me to say? You've been flirting with me for months," he says, moving in. "So what?" "So I can't stop thinking about you." "Because I'm new and different," she says, "or maybe I'm exactly the same." I guess Suzanne missed the memo that these characters are used to getting what they want, when they want it, and Don always runs to another woman to bend her to his will when he's feeling powerless. She admits she's thought of him, but says she knows exactly how this ends. "So what?" Don replies gruffly. She protests some more, but Don moves in and grabs her around the waist. "I want you. I don't care. Doesn't that mean anything to someone like you?" Miss Farrell must find Don's elitism charming because they do the deed. They're shown in a sleeping embrace as "Prelude to a Kiss" plays us into the credits.
