After her mother came to live with her in the last episode of Nashville, Juliette took a trip to the grocery store and was caught on camera stealing a bottle of nail polish.  Since she can clearly afford it, it’s obvious that Juliette engages in shoplifting for other – likely emotional/psychological – reasons.

But that video is going to come back to bite her, because in this week’s episode some cops arrive at her door to notify her that she’s being charged with shoplifting.  Juliette completely brushes off the seriousness of the matter, thinking it’s just a big joke.  Even when she sees that the video has gone viral she’s unconcerned.

But the matter soon becomes serious when she’s removed as a presenter at an awards show and her publicist is called in for damage control.  Their strategy is to get her in front of Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, where Juliette completely brushes the entire matter under the rug.  According to her, she simply forgot to pay for the nail polish.  But will her fans and the public believe her story?

Don’t miss an all new episode of Nashville on October 31 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
