Looks like the Unknown are about to get a little more unknown. After dismal ratings, and a failed experiment in dropping its timeslot back a couple of hours, NBC is moving Persons Unknown to the Saturday night graveyard starting July 17. The show will air opposite FOX's Cops, which is sure to dent the low-rated freshman mystery series already tiny viewing figures.

With the entire 13 episode first (and likely last) season filmed and in the can, fans can at least hope to see it to the end in some capacity, whether that be on the air, or streamed online via NBC (or Hulu), is yet to be seen.
Are you disappointed that the summer mystery series is unlikely to live on beyond a single season?

That sux! Maybe if they had put the time change in the TV Guide, more people would've followed it. I was ticked when I tuned in Monday night only to see Last Comic Standing instead.
They act they're trying to sink it. There was no notice that it was moving to an earlier time slot and I just accidentally found out they're moving it to Saturday.Reminds me of FOX sabotaging Dollhouse.
Luckily i had set a series recording on my DVR, but it seems like a killing move. Of course, this is coming from the people who said "Jay Leno every night at 10" last year, so they obviously have programming issues.
Just another great show that NBC has failed to market correctly and, thus, caused to fail.Studio 60, Kings, Southland and now Person's Unknown? Someone, at some point has got to wonder about the people that are behind the marketing and decision making for this channel.
Maybe if they had mentioned that they were moving the time, the experiment would have worked. I turned on the tv at 9 on Monday to watch, only to find that I had missed it by two hours. I was quite annoyed. I was enjoying watching it, but now I'll probably quit. Those tv execs and their bright ideas. Fire 'em all and start over.
Anyone can watch a missed episode on nbc.com – type in google search "NBC Person's Unknown" and it will come up. Indeed, the major networks and their stupid ratings, NOT ratings people that tape on DVR or TEVO. Why invest in any show, if they are going to do that. At least they WILL show the entire thing – unlike what ABC did with Eastwick. Shows like this should apply to SYFY and ignore the major stations. They would get an audience.
Dollhouse? What about Sarah Connor Chronicles – from Terminator. That was good – and it ended on a huge cliffhanger.
I expected it to just be one season, rather like "Harper's Island" from a couple of years ago. I rather like a one-season-only series, especially for the summer, if it's well-written like "Persons Unknown." Good thing I have a DVR that's programmed to find it whenever it plays.
I know this show has been dismissed as a Lost rip-off, but that's not fair. It really has a compelling and engrossing mystery at its center, the acting is good, and it is easy to follow (unlike LOST's last few seasons). I would love to see a second season, and I would love for NBC to FUCKING GET BEHIND THEIR SHOWS!! They screwed Southland, they screwed Conan, and they're screwing this show. HBO, FX, TNT, TBS, FOX…..HEEEEEELLLPPPPP!!!
Tsjr Persons Unknown was produce for SyFy last year but NBC their sister network took it from them. So NBC knew that they were getting a show made for a cable audience and no the masses.
I like the show and I want it to last at least a whole season, I especially liked the episode which aired tonight (July 5th).
The show was only supposed to be a single season…..it's called a mini-series.
I really can't see why this show is failing? Like another person has said already, I too had no idea about the time changes from week to week. I tune in at 9 and it was already over!! B.S.!I hope some other network picks this up for another season…I'm intrested in seeing what may turn out
Oh man, why do networks do this with good shows? Firefly, Dollhouse, Sarah Connor… now Persons Unknown which is very interesting! Wish Syfy, A&E or FX would pick it up for new episodes…
And I bet they will replace it with some low rent, no class having, tooth wrangling reality show. That's the sludge in the soup of TV.
I was under the same impression as Joyler90 – that it's a mini-series and not a a series.
Yes,I can absolutely not believe this show does not have a HUGE audience.I never watchTV(only LOST)and am sooo happy a friend drew my attention to Persons Unknown. It is thrilling and intelligent. What is the matter with the American people? Please, please ,please ,give us the 13 episodes!!
It's a miniseries. this is the only season.
This was billed that we would have all answers by the end of summer, so I'm not upset if there is no second season — I never expected one. But I do want to see all of this one.
I have been hooked to this show from the beginning and I will be very disappointed if it is canceled without at least ending it properly. It has the potential to carry on for a few seasons, so if NBC is stupid enough to dump it, like others have said before, I hope another station picks it up! It's a great show!
It wasn't intended to be a long-running series. From the beginning it was pitched as a mini-series. After every episode they say all questions will be answered by the end of summer.
