Supersized Office, Parks and Rec to Air April 28th

It seems that NBC wants a little more time to say goodbye to the inimitable Michael Scott, as they've announced that Steve Carell's final episode will be extended to 50 minutes. The Office will be airing from 9:00-9:50 on April 28th with a 40 minute episode of Parks & Recreation to follow and 30 Rock closing out the night at 10:30. The episode of Outsourced that was scheduled to air on the 28th has therefore been preempted to a later date.

The Office and Parks won't be the first supersized episodes of the season, as 30 Rock will be having its one hour 100th episode the week prior. All four critically acclaimed NBC comedies (Office, Parks, 30 Rock, and Community) have been renewed for next season. Carell announced his departure from the long running comedy last summer and there's been a pretty notable discussion about who should replace the Emmy nominated actor as the head of Dunder Mifflin. Carell's final episode comes with four episodes remaining in the season.

Are you ready for Michael Scott to say goodbye? Do you think it'll be a good episode? Are you more excited for supersized Office or Parks?

30 Rock and Parks and Rec are the two best comedies on NBC, yet somehow they always get put on the backburner for The Office. I wish the ratings fairy could give those two shows better numbers because they're MUCH better than The Office (lately).
