John Corbett to Star in New NCIS Spin-off

220px-John_CorbettSince NCIS and NCIS: LA are two of the biggest shows on television it's no surprise CBS is planning a new spinoff.  The new show will in fact spinoff from the current spinoff, NCIS: LA, and will concentrate on an elite mobile "Red Team" of agents that must LIVE together as well as work together as they venture across the country solving crimes.  Sounds very Kerouac, if Kerouac did crime.

The United States of Tara vet John Corbett has signed on in a lead role as Roy Quaid, a former NCIS Special Agent who was forced to retire from active service, but has returned to work as an Analyst.  Kind of like Ryan Hardy from The Following, I'm just sayin.

Despite being some sort of outcast, Quaid still has an air of legend surrounding him and is highly respected by his peers as well as the department.  So why don't they just give him his badge back, like that Ryan Hardy guy from The Following I'm Just Sayin...

The pilot will air as an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles later in this season with the prospective series joining the CBS lineup in fall.
