Bob Newhart, who’s starred and appeared in various television shows and movies throughout his long career will be making a guest appearance on NCIS. According to EW, Newhart will be playing “Dr. Walter Magnus, a character who’s described as a “shrewd, eccentric nostalgic” with a whole lot of charm.”
Dr. Magnus is also a former medical examiner who “comes out of retirement to relive the magic — but something unexpected happens that catches Ducky (David McCallum) and the others by surprise.”
Newhart’s episode of NCIS won’t be airing until January, but the show does have some fun things in store for November sweeps. A special two-part episode will be airing on November 16 and 23. A lot of guest stars will be making an appearance, including Michael Nouri, who will be reprising his role as Ziva’s father.
