Childrens Hospital’s Erinn Hayes to Guest Star on New Girl as “Lust Interest” for Coach

Looks like Coach will be spending some time in the nurse’s office during season four of New Girl.

The Fox comedy has cast Childrens Hospital actress Erinn Hayes as Coach’s new “lust interest” for its upcoming season. According to TVLine, Hayes will play Ruth, “the slightly ditzy and trashy school nurse who’s having an fling with Coach and doesn’t appreciate the new ‘no fraternization’ policy that Jess — the Vice Principal — must enforce.”

Hayes will guest star in an October episode of New Girl, the same episode which will also see the first appearance of Julian Morris’s “hot new science teacher” Ryan, who will romance Zooey Deschanel’s Jess. Morris’s character is “distractingly handsome” and his confident and suave personality bothers Jess until she begins to “fall for him.”

Besides Childrens Hospital, Hayes’ other TV credits include Guys with Kids, Parks and Recreation, Workaholics, and Growing Up Fisher. Meanwhile, Morris is most famous for his role as Prince Phillip (aka Sleeping Beauty’s beau) on Once Upon a Time and has also appeared on Pretty Little Liars, 24ER, and, most recently, the new Amazon pilot Hand of God, which stars Ron Perlman and Dana Delaney.

Both Hayes and Morris join a stellar guest cast that New Girl has lined up for its fourth season, which includes Jessica Biel, Alan Ritchson, and Kaitlin Olson.

Season four of New Girl, which will see both Nick and Jess trying to date other people after their breakup at the end of last season, starts on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
