Once Upon a Time Episode 12 Promo: Belle Comes to the Fairytale World

Once Upon a Time Episode 12This week's Once Upon a Time gave us some unexpected backstory on the Magic Mirror/Sidney.  As it turns out, he was actually a Genie, trapped inside a lamp until King Leopold (Snow's father) set him free.  A happy man who loved his daughter, Leopold's only real crime was the fact that he couldn't truly love his wife (the Evil Queen).  Instead, the situation resulted in the Queen and the Genie falling in love.  In hopes of freeing her, the Genie killed Leopold.

In Storybrooke, Sidney and Emma teamed up, hoping to expose Regina for corruption.  While they did find valuable information, Regina managed to talk her away out of it, telling the town council that she had used the funds to build a playground for Storybrooke's children.  For more on the episode, read our recap and review.

Unfortunately, Once Upon a Time is on hiatus next week, but will return with new episodes on February 12. Jessy Schram will be returning as Cinderella/Ashley. In Storybrooke, Mr. Gold's house is robbed, and Emma is afraid that he may be seeking vigilante justice, so she keeps an eye on him. Meanwhile, Valentine's Day is upon the town and Mary Margaret rounds up Ruby and Ashley for a girls' night out. In the fairytale world, Emilie de Ravin appears as Belle, who agrees to sacrifice herself for a deal in order to protect her town from the Ogre war.

    I love Mr.Gold/Rumple…he's so sexy ;)

I think Rumple knows something. After all, Regina originally got the curse from him, and Snow and Charming's payment for their deal was Emma's name. I think Gold somehow wants to see Regina come down, and he knows Emma is key. Now whether he wants to end the curse, or somehow use Emma to wrest power is yet to be seen.

So what happens when Emma breaks the curse? She and Henry do not COME from Fairytaleville, so can they go "back" there? Maybe Gold has SOME knowledge of the end gane yet to come, and he wants to be on the RIGHT side when that time comes…and perhaps even "owed"…

Emma come from Fairytalevile:) she was put in the magic wood.

and Henry- doesn't Qeen's father had the same name? but it will be a little strange…

Waitwaitwait. There's no actual Beast here? It's just Rumplestiltskin? Disappointing.

  4. Beckaroosy says:

I agree. I was very disappointed to know that they've messed with one of my favorite love stories. Rumplestiltskin has his own storyline and character. He's not the fricking Beast too! What other characters are going to end up playing double duty in this show? I love Robert Carlyle and am going to do my best to give the writers a chance here, but just watching that trailer made me very sad.

It's a TV show people!! I think having Rumpel as the beast is a great idea. The whole premise of this show is a NEW re-telling of classic fairy tales. And I am not going to argue with anything that gives Robert Carlyle more screen time. He IS this show, and the best reason to watch it. I like the other actors on the show , but there is not one of them who can hold a candle to Carlyle…period

Agreed! I adore Robert Carlyle, and love both his characters. Or I should say, all three. Lets not forget the downtrodden cripple he was when it all began… I can't wait for this episode.
