Cora confronts Captain Hook over the lost compass in this week’s Once Upon a Time. After Emma took the compass for herself and left Hook up the beanstalk, he eventually got down and is confronted by Cora, who wants the object that will help her get to Storybrooke and Regina. Unfortunately, Hook is forced to admit that not only did he lose the compass, but he also (momentarily) switched sides.
So Cora has decided to take matters into her own hands and kidnaps Aurora in an attempt to use her as leverage to get the compass. Aurora is convinced that she’s not very good leverage, but Cora is convinced that Mary Margaret and Emma won’t let an innocent person be harmed, even if it threatens their chances of getting home.
Based on a conversation that takes place earlier in the episode, we can see that Mary Margaret believes that Aurora’s dreams with Henry are related to their shared sleeping curse and are more than just dreams. She seems convinced that this connection between Aurora and Henry might be the key in getting them home, so I’d lay odds on Mary Margaret and Emma doing whatever they need to do in order to get Aurora back. Meanwhile, back in Storybrooke, Regina, David and Mr. Gold try to figure out a way to communicate with Mary Margaret through Henry’s dreams.
