Once Upon a Time: Captain Hook Has Been Cast!

It’s true, ladies and gentlemen, Captain Hook is definitely coming to Once Upon a Time. The news of Peter Pan’s nemesis coming to season 2 was first announced during the show’s Comic-Con panel, followed up by a trailer for next season that showed a mysterious man breaking into Mr. Gold’s pawn shop to steal back his hook that had the audience cheering.

Now Irish actor Colin O’Donoghue, who had a recurring role on The Tudors, has been cast as Hook, who we’ll first meet in next season’s fourth episode. O’Donoghue is the second Tudors actor to appear in season 2 of Once Upon a Time. Sarah Bolger, who played Princess Mary on the show, has also been cast as Sleeping Beauty/Princess Aurora. These two actors are joined by others who will portray new characters such as Prince Phillip and Lancelot.

Once Upon a Time will return for its second season on Sunday, September 30 on ABC. For spoilers from the cast about season 2 click here.
