Once Upon a Time Sneak Peeks: Family Reunions and Belle’s Confession

Once Upon a TImeThis is the moment many Once Upon a Time fans have been waiting for: the first batch of sneak peeks from the season 2 premiere.  When we last saw Storybrooke, Bellle had reunited with Mr. Gold.  Furious that she had been hidden from him for all these years, he unleashed magic on the town, giving everyone back their memories.

When the show returns, all of the fairytale characters are still trapped in Storybrooke.  Why?  Well, a scene with Regina might reveal a clue: “[There’s no fairytale land] to go back to.  That land is gone” Regina explains when David asks her why they weren’t returned to their real world.  Could it be true?  Did she really destroy the fairytale world with her curse, or is Regina simply lying?

Of course, we know that, according to Mr. Gold, “magic is different here”.  Despite the returned memories and the cloud of purple smoke, Regina’s powers haven’t been returned to her.  Speaking of Mr. Gold, he’s furious with Regina right now.  After he unleashes magic on the town, Belle tells him the truth about what Regina did to her.  But she’s concerned that he’ll give in to his anger and hatred and become the “beast” once again in his quest for revenge.

Elsewhere, the Charming family is having a reunion that isn’t going swimmingly.  Emma seems pretty freaked out that she’s actually found her parents, that they’re all the same age, and that they’re people she’s known as friends for the last little while.  Despite Mary Margaret and David reaching out to her and telling her how happy they are that they’ve found her again, she doesn’t seem ready to deal with everything quite yet.

Don’t miss the season premiere of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, September 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.  You can also browse through photos from the premiere here.
