Well, this is it, folks…the CW’s One Tree Hill will be saying their final goodbye in a 2-hour series finale tonight. And what better title than its own show’s title, “One Tree Hill”? This makes me and millions of fans out there incredibly sad, but at the same time we couldn’t be happier for them—it’s a bittersweet deal for everybody. I, for one, am so excited!

One Tree Hill fans have fallen in love with Brooke, Haley, Nathan and the gang for nine incredible seasons. How could you not? Sure, we’ve had some characters leave and new ones join the cast, but I’ve grown to love them all the same. I’ve got to say that I was sad to hear that Peyton (Hilarie Burton) wouldn’t be making a final appearance, but I am glad that we will be feeling her presence tonight, while Julian shows Brooke the set for his television show inspired by Lucas’ book.

There have been some memorable moments that will definitely stick with all of us. Who can forget the awful moment of Dan shooting Keith, Jaime’s creepy nanny, Brooke’s near death scare, Nathan’s recent abduction and Dan’s death?  But we are also left with the wonderful memories of the love stories we have all shipped: Nathan and Haley, Lucas and Peyton, Mouth and Millie, Julian and Brooke, and recently engaged couple, Clay and Quinn. We are all aware that these relationships have had their struggles, but I’m happy to say that happiness is in store for the residents of Tree Hill.

The much-anticipated One Tree Hill finale will be one of remembrance and nostalgia (bring your box of tissues!)  With one last secret and one last journey, the long time residents of Tree Hill will come together to celebrate the tenth year anniversary of Tric’s. Meanwhile, Brooke will open her boutique, Julian will take Brooke back in time on the set of his new TV show, and I am hoping for a Quinn and Clay wedding (following an engagement in last week’s episode). Also, from the looks of these photos, Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) finally got herself the family she’s always wanted. One thing that this show has taught me is that no matter the circumstance, follow your dreams and they will come true.

One Tree Hill Preview: Series Finale Photos and Sneak Peeks

Chad Michael Murray was last seen in the season 6 finale of One Tree Hill.  At the time his character (Lucas Scott) and his wife, Peyton, rode off into the sunset with their baby.  After the couple left, executive producer Mark Schwahn said they've been touring the world.

But Chad Michael Murray is reprising his role of Lucas one more time in the final season of One Tree Hill tonight. Tonight's episode, directed by star Austin Nichols, is titled "Last Known Surroundings".  Nathan has disappeared and his whereabouts are unknown to his wife, Haley.  "She reaches out to Lucas in her time of need", Schwahn explains in an episode preview. For his part, Jamie is thrilled to see his uncle again.  "It was nice to see Chad back in the fold and nice to see Lucas spending some time with Haley".  The two meet up in an airport and Lucas is adamant that Nathan will return.  Meanwhile, Nathan does make an escape attempt in tonight's episode.  Julian also finds some evidence that could help Dan in his search for Nathan, while Brooke comes face-to-face with Xavier.

Tonight on One Tree Hill: Chad Michael Murray Returns (Sneak Peeks)

This news might make One Tree Hill fans happy.  With what's likely the final season of the long-running show looming, there have been announcements of a few characters returning.  For example, Tyler Hilton will be returning as Chris Keller and Barbara Alyn Woods is returning as Deb Scott.

Now the CW has made the official announcement that Chad Michael Murray will be reprising his role as Lucas Scott during a guest appearance in the final season. We're not yet sure how many episodes Murray will appear in or exactly when we'll be seeing him, but he'll definitely be back.

Lucas Scott was one of the original characters of One Tree Hill and left the show after the sixth season.  Scott's final appearance showed him and wife Peyton (played by Hilarie Burton) driving off with their new baby Sawyer.  In the new season of One Tree Hill, Lucas returns to town when Haley reaches out to him for help.

One Tree Hill's ninth season will premiere midseason on The CW.  The exact return date of the show should be announced later in the fall.

Chad Michael Murray Returning to One Tree Hill

The CW gave early renewals to several of its long-running shows recently, including Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210 and America's Next Top Model. But the fate of one long-running show - One Tree Hill - was up in the air.

TV Line's Ausiello has just made the announcement that One Tree Hill has, in fact, been renewed for a ninth season.  He said: "I’m willing to bet all of my Super Smurfs on it."  But don't expect a full season order.  The show will only be returning for approximately 13 episodes.

Let's be clear that this isn't official confirmation from The CW.  Several One Tree Hill stars did recently sign contracts for a ninth season, including Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Galeotti, Austin Nichols, Robert Buckley, Jana Kramer and Lisa Goldstein.  But the network didn't comment about the status.  The current season 8 was only supposed to have around 13 episodes, but the season was extended by nine additional episodes when the show performed well earlier in the season.

The CW may be waiting until its Upfront presentation on May 19 to give official confirmation about this rumor, so it may be another week before we know the fate of One Tree Hill. The CW also hasn't confirmed anything about the renewal or cancellation of two other shows: freshman series Hellcats and Nikita.  The fate of these could depend on how well their pilots for next year are testing.  I hear the Kevin Williamson-produced The Secret Circle is testing well, so there's a good chance it could land a spot on the schedule for next year.

One Tree Hill Renewed for a Shortened 9th Season?

Brooke & Julian will be getting married on the February 1 new episode of One Tree Hill, but it looks like there will be a little sex scandal in a limo.  Will the wedding go off without a hitch?  The CW has released some photos of the ceremony, as well as a promo.

Red (Jeff Hephner) and Vanessa (Sharon Leal) hear of her plan and set out to stop her before she does something she will regret.

SMALLVILLE — “Patriot” (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
DC COMICS CHARACTER AQUAMAN RETURNS WITH HIS WIFE MERA; TOM WELLING DIRECTS AND MICHAL HOGAN (“BATTLESTAR GALACTICA”) GUEST STARS AS COL SLADE. — In an effort to protect the rest of the team, Oliver (Justin Hartley) decides to register for the Vigilante Registration Act to see what the government plans to do with the new law. As he suspected, it was a trap to lure superheroes to an undisclosed location where he is confined to a jail and subjected to a battery of brutal tests under the supervision of Col. Slade (guest star Michael Hogan, “Battlestar Galactica”).

SUPERNATURAL — “Clap Your Hands If You Believe” (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
FAIRIES! — While Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are investigating a UFO sighting, Dean is abducted from a crop circle. However, when he awakens, he discovers he isn’t dealing with aliens, but fairies! Unfortunately, only Dean can see the fairy that keeps attacking him which makes tracing and stopping them difficult.

One Tree Hill is currently on hiatus (did you hear it got picked up for a full season?).  A new episode will return on November 2 and The CW has released promo photos and a synopsis for the episode.

As the wedding approaches, Brooke (Sophia Bush) tries to connect with Sylvia (guest star Sharon Lawrence), while Julian (Austin Nichols) looks for his best man at a guys’ poker night. Meanwhile, Nathan (James Lafferty) struggles in his new job, while Haley’s (Bethany Joy Galeotti) counseling abilities are challenged, and Skills (guest star Antwon Tanner) returns to town with a new friend.

Robert Buckley, Shantel VanSanten and Jackson Brundage also stars. The episode was written by David Strauss & Mike Herro and directed by Les Butler.

Photos - One Tree Hill 8.07 "Luck Be a Lady"

Stop holding your breath, Nikita fans! The CW has asked for a full season of the spy series, along with Hellcats and One Tree Hill.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, including an interesting quote from CW president Dawn Ostroff:

“This fall, The CW made several strategic scheduling moves, including adding two of the most buzzed-about new series, Hellcats and Nikita, to our line-up, and we’re thrilled that they’ve paid off for us,” said  Ostroff. “By giving our two freshman series and proven performer One Tree Hill full orders, we’ll be able to continue our success and momentum throughout the rest of the season.”

The news comes as a relief to Nikita fans, who worried about the show's fate in the face of pickups of lesser-rated shows by other networks. Now whether or not this means The CW has faith in the show as it is, absent their planned tinkering, remains to be seen. I hope they realize that if it can earn a pickup on its current merits, the series does not need to be altered.

Sneak Peek - One Tree Hill 8.06 "Not Afraid"

Tomorrow, One Tree Hill's Kate Voegele (Mia) makes a guest appearance on fellow CW show Life Unexpected. Our very own Holly sat down with Kate to discuss the crossover episode.

What was it like working with the cast of Life Unexpected? Was it different then working with the cast of One Tree Hill?

It was awesome! It felt good to bring Mia into a different world and have her interact with other people. I think Mia and Haley blended in really well and related to the characters in Life Unexpected. It was a fun experience.

How was performing on stage at a festival in this episode, as opposed to a bigger venue?

It was awesome. The set was beyond cool. There were these big glitter flowers around and I know that sounds stupid, but people will understand what I'm talking about when they see the episode. Festivals are my favorite thing to play because it's much more interactive.

What other crossovers would you like to see happen with Mia?

Mad Men wouldn't work since it's set in the past, but I'd love to do that. I didn't even think there was a possibility of a crossover, but I would love to do another one if it came up.

Did you ever think your time on One Tree Hill would last this long?

No, I was supposed to only be in six episodes. I was stoked when Mia got more episodes because Mia clicked well and worked with the characters. She became a part of their world by dating the men and evolving as a musician. She plays Kate Voegele songs and that lets people hear my songs, but people can separate me from Mia.

You have a new album coming out. What's your favorite song off of it?

We're still in the progress of picking the songs so I don't have a favorite just yet. The songs are richer in content but it's still honest writing, it's still very me. I'll have to get back to you on what my favorite song is.

What shows are you watching now?

Mad Men. I never miss it. I make sure I watch it every week. I love the outfits and I'm such a sucker for vintage, so it's one of the shows that's a must see for me.

What message do you want to send to your fans?

I want them to know that I'm just a kid from Ohio who moved to Los Angeles and followed her dream. It's hard being an artist and I think that a lot of people think celebrities are untouchable. I want to be relatable to my fans. I'm not a pretentious person and I know that my fans are the reason I'm where I'm at today.

Photos - One Tree Hill 8.02 "I Can’t See You, But I Know You’re There"

One Tree Hill will be moving to Tuesday nights at 8:00 p.m. when it returns to the CW on September 14.  The CW has put together a short trailer for the upcoming new season.

After a seventh season that saw ONE TREE HILL continue to grow and break new ground, the show enters season eight with more than 150 episodes under its belt.  The new season finds Brooke Davis happier than ever.  Recently engaged to Julian, her wedding will be the captivating affair one might expect from a young, beautiful, successful fashion designer.  As Nathan Scott prepares for his second season in the NBA, the Scott family is expecting their second child and Haley feels as though the baby will be a girl.  How will she balance her pregnancy while raising Jamie and pursuing her music career?  Also, Quinn and Clay's lives hang in the balance, the victims of a brutal attack which affects all of their friends and family.

Season eight of ONE TREE HILL will explore the delicate balance that contemporary twenty-somethings face as they endeavor to build and define what their lives will be, while overcoming difficulties and embracing the good things that they sometimes take for granted, shrouded in the pursuit of someday.  It will be a celebration of the most important things, among them the quest for love, laughter, health, friends, career and family: timeless pursuits that have always mattered, and matter now, in a place called Tree Hill.  The series stars James Lafferty as Nathan Scott, Sophia Bush as Brooke Davis, Bethany Joy Galeotti as Haley James Scott, Robert Buckley as Clay Evans, Austin Nichols as Julian Baker, Shantel VanSanten as Quinn James and Jackson Brundage as Jamie Scott.

It appears that One Tree Hill (like Smallville) is going on a bit of hiatus until April 26 (Smallville returns earlier in the month on April 2).  The CW has released a short promo with scenes from the upcoming new episode, but sadly I don't have any photos or synopses to share with you now.  Keep checking back for those.  We'll post as soon as the network releases them.

A new episode of One Tree Hill will be airing on February 22.  The CW hasn't released any promo photos, but they have released a sneak peek and two promo for the episode, which you can view below, along with a synopsis.

As Brooke (Sophia Bush) angrily deals with Alex’s (Jana Kramer) tryst with Julian (Austin Nichols), Lydia’s (guest star Bess Armstrong) condition worsens, prompting Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) and Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) to try to reconnect with Taylor (guest star Lindsey McKeon).
