Patricia Clarkson Cast as Tammy 1 on Parks & Rec

Oscar nominee Patricia Clarkson (Pieces of April, The Green Mile) has been cast in a major guest role on NBC’s Emmy nominated Parks and Recreation, according to TV Line. The veteran actress, last seen in the Mila Kunis/Justin Timberlake comedy Friends with Benefits, will be portraying Ron Swanson’s feared first wife, Tammy 1, in two episodes of the show. Clarkson’s first appearance on the critical darling will be the September 22nd premiere.

Patricia Clarkson’s last TV work came in 2005, when her Emmy winning role as Sarah on Six Feet Under came to an end. Though she hasn’t done a lot of TV, she’s previously guested on Frasier (as Claire French), Law & Order, and Spenser: For Hire.

What do you think about the idea of Patricia Clarkson as Tammy 1? Was she who you had in mind for the role? Just how insane are you wanting Tammy 1 to be?
