Pretty Little Liars: Four Teasers from the January Premiere

Pretty Little Liars returns from its hiatus on January 8 with a mid-season premiere that will leave you with a ton of questions about what's to come and a surprise reveal at the beginning and the end.  After watching a screener for the episode, I've got four teasers to share with you:

Mona is back and she’s not welcomed with open arms.  Mona has been released from the sanitarium and returns to Rosewood High, begging Hanna to watch her back.  But Hanna and the other girls are understandably hesitant to welcome Mona back into the fold after being tormented by her for so long.  Of course, Mona is soon on the other side when the Rosewood students call her names and someone even plants a cow’s brain in her locker.  But Mona didn’t remain hidden as “A” for so long without a few tricks up her sleeve.

Suspicions against Lucas have resurfaced.  Hanna still believes that Lucas is hiding secrets and his recent limp leaves Hanna convinced that he was stabbed by Aria on the Halloween train.  Is she right?  Let's just say that we've given a hint about what happened to Lucas and it might leave you scratching your head.   Things on this show are rarely what they seem.

Byron’s motives should be questioned.  Aria spends most of the episode defensive about her father, convinced that he had nothing to do with Alison death and, certainly, nothing to do with the Halloween train incidents.  But there’s a moment where Aria decides to question her father regarding his thoughts on Alison.  His response will definitely pique your interest.

Knowing the truth about Toby will leave viewers creeped out.  Most of Rosewood’s residents don’t know that Toby is actually a member of the “A” team, but we sure do.  And it’s incredibly creepy to watch all of his interactions now.  He might not really be acting any differently with people like Spencer, but knowing the truth means that you’ll be watching his every move with narrowed eyes.  And now everything he does seems especially suspicious.
