It was a Christmas Eve of split leadership, with CBS as most watched network overall and NBC as highest rated network with adults 18-49. ABC got third place in both age categories followed by FOX and The CW.
CBS opened the evening with CSI attaining 4.97 million viewers and a 1.0 rating/4 share among adults 18-49. From 9-10pm, CSI: NY reached 5.01 million viewers and a 0.9/3 in the demo. Blue Bloods capped off the evening as highest rated program in total viewers with 5.87 million viewers and a 1.0/4 with adults 18-49.
Over at ABC, Disney Prep & Landing drew 2.47 million viewers and a 0.7/3 among adults 18-49. Following Disney Prep & Landing were Phineas & Ferb (2.05 million viewers; A18-49: 0.6/2) and The Santa Clause 2 (3.53 million viewers; A18-49: 1.1/4).
NBC aired Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life (4.70 million viewers; A18-49: 1.4/5) which left Christmas Eve as highest rated program in adults 18-49 while FOX and The CW closed the evening with Are We Done Yet? (2.14 million viewers; A18-49: 0.7/3), Smallville (1.02 million viewers; A18-49: 0.4/2) and Supernatural (1.05 million viewers; A18-49: 0.4/2).
