TV Ratings Friday: Supernatural On Par With Smallville; The Good Guys Ends Silent

ABC won Friday with adults 18-49 and placed second in total viewers. Following ABC was NBC at a second place in the demo and total viewers. CBS came in third among adults 18-49 and first in total viewers while The CW ranked fourth in both categories followed by FOX, which got fifth place in adults 18-49 and total viewers.

First-placed ABC aired original installments of Supernanny (4.58 million viewers; A18-49: 1.2/4), Primetime: What Would You Do? (4.89 million viewers; A18-49: 1.5/5) and 20/20 (5.78 million viewers; A18-49: 1.5/5). Compared to last week, both Supernanny and Primetime: What Would You Do? rose by a tenth with adults 18-49 while 20/20 dropped by 1.04 million viewers and 21 percent in the demo.

NBC opened the evening with a repeat of the two-hour season two premiere of Minute to Win It (4.71 million viewers; A18-49: 1.2/4). Next was a two-hour edition of Dateline NBC, which averaged 6.14 million viewers and a 1.4/5 among adults 18-49.

Over at CBS, repeats of The Mentalist (6.72 million viewers; A18-49: 1.0/4), CSI: NY (7.98 million viewers; A18-49: 1.3/4) and Blue Bloods (7.38 million viewers; A18-49: 1.1/4) capped off the evening at a moderate note.

The CW came in fourth in total viewers and adults 18-49 due to its very compatible dream team of Smallville (2.57 million viewers; A18-49: 1.0/4) and Supernatural (2.24 million viewers; A18-49: 1.0/3). In comparison with last week, Smallville declined by 190,000 viewers and a tenth in adults 18-49 but Supernatural increased slightly by 9,000 viewers and held steady with adults 18-49.

Last and very least was FOX with a repeat of The Good Guys (1.89 million viewers; A18-49: 0.6/2), which led into the series finale of The Good Guys (2.43 million viewers; A18-49: 0.7/2).
