TV Ratings: The Big Bang Theory, $#*! My Dad Says Spiral Upwards

Minimal competition let the ratings of The Big Bang Theory and $#*! My Dad Says rise. Compared to the previous week, both comedy shows posted gains in total viewers and adults 18-49.

The Big Bang Theory led the 8pm hour with 13.51 million viewers and a 4.1/13 among adults 18-49. In comparison with last week, this was an increase of 1.48 million viewers and 5 percent in the demo. $#*! My Dad Says placed second, averaging 10.47 million viewers and a 3.0/9 in the demo. A week ago, $#*! My Dad Says hit a series low with 9.40 million viewers and a 2.7/8 in adults 18-49.

A repeat of A Charlie Brown Christmas (6.39 million viewers; A18-49: 1.9/6) ranked third followed by repeats of 30 Rock (3.46 million viewers; A18-49: 1.4/4), Bones (5.41 million viewers; A18-49: 1.2/4), Community (3.19 million viewers; A18-49: 1.2/4) and The Vampire Diaries (1.96 million viewers; A18-49: 0.8/2).

One hour later, a repeat of CSI claimed the demo victory, reaching 9.15 million viewers and a 1.9/6 among adults 18-49. Close behind CSI was a repeat of The Office (4.35 million viewers; A18-49: 1.7/5) followed by repeats of Bones (4.91 million viewers; A18-49: 1.5/4), Outsourced (3.64 million viewers; A18-49: 1.5/4), Grey’s Anatomy (3.95 million viewers; A18-49: 1.2/4) and The Vampire Diaries (1.57 million viewers; A18-49: 0.6/2).

Finally, a repeat of The Mentalist (10.07 million viewers; A18-49: 1.8/5) won the 10pm hour, putting back-to-back repeats of The Office (2.95 million viewers; A18-49: 1.3/4) and a repeat of Private Practice (3.09 million viewers; A18-49: 1.0/3) in their place.
