Revenge is currently on hiatus until February 8 (I know, I'm devastated too!). This show has been consistently performing in the pay-off department for a while now, so a break is not welcome. But, news of what's coming sounds delicious, so I'll forgive the ABC scheduling gods for making me wait.
Here's a round-up of some recent casting news for Revenge:
First, William Devane (veteran of Knots Landing and 24) will be appearing as Edward Grayson - Conrad's father - as EW reports. Apparently Victoria summons Edward to the Hamptons to help in her tangled divorce from Conrad, which was recently made even more difficult when Conrad learned that Charlotte isn't really his biological daughter. Devane will appear in episodes 14 and 15 (scheduled to air in February). Remember, episode 15 is the big turning point episode where we finally head back to the engagement party we first saw in the pilot. The victim of the beach shooting will be revealed. View photos of Devane's upcoming appearance.
Courtney B. Vance (previously seen on Law & Order: CI and Flashforward) will also be joining the cast in a recurring role as defense attorney Ben Barnett, according to TVLine. Barnett will be representing the suspected killer of the engagement party victim and will be appearing in at least three episodes.
Finally, James Purefoy (who starred on the period drama Rome), will be joining the show as a new love interest for Victoria, says The Insider. Considering her boyfriend David got sent to prison while dating her and her husband was tricked into raising another man's child, we're thinking Purefoy's character might want to run for the hills. But, according to Madeline Stowe, "She's going to have a big, passionate love affair" and we'll be learning more about Victoria's origins in coming episodes.
New episodes of Revenge will resume on Wednesday, February 8 at 10:00 p.m. EST on ABC.
