I think the lesson we should take from the last episode of Revenge is that Victoria shouldn't be counted on as out, even when she's down. In one fell swoop, Emily managed to (secretly) yank the rug out from under the Grayson Manor lady of the house by having Conrad discover the truth about Charlotte's paternity. Because Conrad knows about the affair with David and Charlotte's real father, he's prepared to send Victoria packing without any real assets, or he'll expose her secrets publicly. But Victoria's already fighting back. Faced with having to tell Daniel the truth about his sister, she chose, instead, to claim that David Clarke raped her, which resulted in Charlotte.
Revenge is currently on hiatus until February 8, but Victoria's taking further steps to protect herself when the show returns. The next episode, titled "Perception", features Mrs. Grayson calling in an old ally for some help in the divorce: none other than Edward Grayson...Conrad's father (played by William Devane). Since Edward apparently has an affinity for Victoria, we're thinking she calls him in to convince Conrad to be fair in the divorce. Meanwhile, we're getting closer to the engagement party that will take place in episode 15, bringing us full circle back to the pilot. Jack is recovering from his recent beating, but you'll see that he discovers one of the David Clarke tapes that Treadwill made. And ABC warns that "the rug gets pulled out from under Charlotte, and even more so for Emily."
