For the last fifteen episodes, we've been waiting to revisit the engagement party originally seen in the pilot of Revenge. This week, we came full circle.
So who exactly died at the Fire and Ice Ball? Those of you who thought it would be Daniel might have been in for a big surprise. The episode made it look like he was the victim, but he was alive and well by the episode's end. Actually, maybe he wasn't all that "well", since he was covered in blood and possibly a murderer. But the real victim was Tyler, who returned to the Hamptons just in time to steal Emily's infinity box, expose its contents to Amanda and then try to set up Emily for Daniel's death. Fortunately for Emily, Tyler's plan fell through. Unfortunately for Tyler, he got killed. For more details on the episode, including teases from the stars on what's next, check out our "Chaos" recap.
The real question is: who killed him? Daniel was covered in blood, making him a possible suspect. But, in all honesty, there are other suspects. Was it Amanda, who was seen standing over his body?
The fallout from this week's spectacular episode of Revenge will dominate many episodes over the remainder of the season. Unfortunately, the show is on hiatus until February 29. But in the next episode, titled "Scandal", it looks like Daniel will be taking the fall for the recent murder. ABC says "as the Graysons form a united front, Emily grows more anxious, Ashley steps up for the family, and Jack is not the only one wondering where Amanda has gone." Courtney B. Vance will be making a guest appearance for several episodes (beginning in "Scandal") as an attorney brought in to defend the accused murdered.
Updated: Watch three sneak peeks for the episode.

Shows think fans are stupid it was clearly daniel who was shot and jack who shot him in the pilot now its supposed to be niether come on.
Actually, the whole point of the pilot is that we never actually SAW the victim or the shooter. Yes, I agree that chances are they intended it to be Daniel at the beginning and changed it, but they filmed the pilot vaguely on purpose in case they wanted to change it and so as not to spoil the mystery. The way it worked out tonight made sense, actually.
The writers talked about the "Daniel gray son murder trial' early on. By that, I assumed Daniel would be on trial for murder, as in "OJ Simpson" and "Casey Anthony" murder trials. And in the pilot, the body shot in the back vagely appeared to be Tylor, when stopped on my large high-definition TV.
I believe the writers never intended it to be Daniel at the beginning.
Daniel did fall. but he was not shot.
this is possible if you add a 3rd party (Satoshi) to the mix.
I think the director couldn't make up his mind
but I also think that Satoshi set the whole thing in motion, FYI check pilot again it was clearly Daniel who was shot and fell down, I never thought it was Jack to begin with
