Fox’s Running Wilde to Finish Its Run…on FX

Running Wilde became Fox’s second casualty of the season when, after a low rated run following Raising Hope, it was pulled from the schedule with only a few episodes remaining. Fox announced its summer schedule not too long ago and Running Wilde was nowhere to be seen, leading many to think that they’d never see the remaining episodes until a possible DVD release. Luckily, fans of the show will get to see the final episodes of the Will Arnett/Keri Russell sitcom…on FX.

On Thursday April 28th, the cable net will begin showing the final four episodes of the show with one episode every Thursday at 10:00 through May 19th. On the 28th, a “new” episode will be followed by a repeat of a previously aired episode. It’s not an entirely unusual move, as networks have shifted cancelled shows to their cable networks for burn off for a while now, but it’s always appreciated when every episode of a show will see the light of day. Having your show moved on and off the schedule before being cancelled can make even the most loyal TV fan a little jaded, so I’m sure the fans of Running Wilde will appreciate the chance to see Steve and Emmy for the last time.

Will you be watching the final few episodes of Running Wilde? How do you feel about the show airing on FX instead of Fox? What do you think a network should do whenever they cancel something with episodes yet to air?
