It's hard for me to not like Charlie Sheen. He's so over the top, so crazy, that it's hard for me to not think he's just screwing with us, Joaquin Phoenix style. And even if he isn't, which is equally (if not much more) possible, he certainly seems to realize just how over-the-top he is. At this point, we're not seeing self-destruction; we're seeing flat out crazy.
So after today's news that Sheen was fired from his starring role in the immensely popular sitcom Two and a Half Men, it's great to see that at least he's happy about something. In this case, it's about Bill Hader's absolutely hilarious caricature of him in this weekend's Saturday Night Live.
In the cold open of the Miley Cyrus/Strokes episode, Hader portrayed Sheen on the set of his new talk show, Duh! Winning! as he interviewed recent newsmongers such as Moaamar Gadhafi (Fred Armisen) and John Galliano (Taran Killam). The sketch was, in my opinion, side-splittingly funny at points, though by the time Sheen offered Lindsay Lohan (Cyrus) a vial of baby urine, it was growing a little... mellow.
Sheen, however, really loved it. Hader apparently got the opportunity to gauge Sheen's reaction. "He liked it," Hader shared with MTV. "Charlie reacted to it and really liked it and I never met him before, so that's good."
"Colin Jost and Seth Myers and John Mulaney wrote that sketch, and ... it was smart in the way that I never felt like it was hard to get the voice down, but his attitude that he's owning this and that you should own it to all these other people was really smart," he added. "It was an interesting ... smart take on it. It all happened so fast."
Sheen is trolling "Joaquin phoenix" style . Wonder for how long those sheeps will need to finally get it. Maybe 2-3 more days?
But why is he doing it? Publicity? He had one of the most watched sitcoms on TV right now. Joaquin Phoenix did it for a faux-documentary, but I honestly think Charlie Sheen has gone off the deep end.
Definitely a hoax. The freak probably has probably invested in some energy drink which he'll promote in a month or two, he needs maximum exposure. Phoenix's fake "change" gave him the exposure he needed, too, and so now Carlos copies the recipe.
Actually, perhaps the reason isn't hidden at all:
http://www.examiner.com/comedy-in-national/have-a…The scumbag is simply making money on moronic Internet kids who think this is amusing.
Haha the funny part is you think he is a scum bag for brining more laughs to watching WHAT NOT TO DO. Lol honestly grow a sense of humour your one of those people whos all like "ZOMG I HATE ANYONE WHO LIKES SOMETHING POPULAR!"
Learn to spell, Chris. Your opinion would mean more if you knew how to spell properly.
you're* not your.
Its for real. Its a psychosis as a result of all his drug use,
Charlie Sheen fucked up. He knows he fucked up and he lost his job. But, then he realized that he had an opportunity to cash in on his weird comments (which were serious at first, I believe) and he began to get more outrageous on purpose. Now, he's pretty much re-invented himself as a stand-up comedian. Man needs to make money somehow, and be relevant to the world again, and he found a way to do that.
It's ironic that the person Hader is poking fun at is a lot funnier than Hader could ever hope to be. lol
Nice try, and SNL sucks!
Those of you who think this is real, you're a bunch of idiots. Go watch his cooking show on youtube and try and argue that he went off the deep end. He's fkn trollin' you. Wouldn't surprise me if CBS and Sheen cooked this up to pump more money out of their show of which they hired him back.
