FeylinTina Fey's wonderful sketch of former governor of Alaska and former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has gotten her an Emmy award.

The creative arts portion of the Emmy's, which is widely for the awards that didn't make the cut of twenty-eight awards to be handed out over television, was held tonight, and NBC's Saturday Night Live came out on top, with both Justin Timberlake and Sarah Palin Tina Fey receiving awards for their appearances on SNL -- Fey for her recurring role as Palin, and Timberlake for his multiple roles during his hosted episodes, including his roles in sketches by the parody troupe The Lonely Island.

Fey beat out two people from her own show 30 Rock to get the Emmy, though the show won two more awards before the night was through. During her acceptance speech, she thanked SNL creator Lorne Michaels, as well as her parents, "lifelong Republicans," for their patience.

Other people walked away with Emmy awards as well. For the award for best guest star, the awards went to Ellen Burstyn for NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Michael J. Fox for Rescue Me on FX. HBO's Grey Gardens came away with three awards, while South Park walked away with the award for best animated program under one hour, beating The Simpsons, FOX's ten-time winner. However, Dan Castellaneta, who voices Homer Simpson won an Emmy for the role.

The rest of the Emmys will be handed out on September 20.
