Scandal Spoilers: Edison Makes an Accusation About Olivia

scandal abcThe fall run of Scandal concluded with Huck being arrested, plans for Fitz's funeral being initiated, and Sally Langston being in charge of the country, her dream (and half of the country's nightmare) coming true after all. All of these happenings are major blows to Olivia Pope, who is now without a good friend, a lover, and an ally in the White House. It's already been a rough time for the savvy political fixer, but coming up on Scandal, she'll be challenged by her boyfriend and accused of something major.

Listed below are the dates, episode titles, and episode descriptions of the first two post-hiatus episodes of Scandal.

Thursday, January 10th - "One for the Dog"
With Huck being held under the Patriot Act, Olivia and the team get unexpected assistance from an old friend. Meanwhile, Olivia helps Mellie out of a very compromising situation that could affect Fitz's future, and her relationship with Edison reaches a boiling point.

Thursday, January 17th - "A Criminal, a Whore, an Idiot, and a Liar"
Changes continue to rock the White House, as we also flashback to learn more about the rigged election. Meanwhile, things get heated between Olivia and Edison after he makes a shocking accusation.

Alliances are a funny thing on Scandal. For quite a while, it seemed like Mellie would never be able to be around Olivia again and that Edison might be the guy to take Olivia's mind off of her relationship with the President, but now, the tables have turned. Olivia and Mellie could find solace in their grief through connecting with the other, while Edison could get too close for Olivia's liking, either romantically or to her involvement in the Cytron bombing.

Scandal returns January 10th at 10:00 on ABC. You can check out a review of the winter finale here.

What do you think Edison will be accusing Olivia of? Which old friend will help Pope & Associates out of a jam? Is there anything you're hoping to learn from the next set of flashbacks?
