I never allowed my children to watch Sesame Street 30 years ago as I viewed it as lackiing dignity, class, or educational values that I held to as a teacher. My grandchildren are not "hooked" into Sesame Street as the parents (my children of 30 years ago) do not find the programing worthy of their children's minds. So this is not new nor news.
