A Very Special Sherlock May Air in Between Seasons

Hearts were broken all around the world when it was revealed that due to how busy everyone is attached to Sherlock, it may actually be two years before we see a full new season of the BBC show. But now there’s hope we might not have to wade through that entire desert with an oasis.

According to Cultbox, Freeman, spoke about the idea,”Mark Gatiss may beat me up, but there is an idea for this one-off special that’s such a good idea, and as I was listening to it, I thought, ‘We’ve just got to do this,'” he said. “And I don’t know when we are going to be able to do it, unfortunately.”

“It’s a fantastic, really mouth-watering idea,” he said. “But I really don’t know when we are going to get to do it.”

Well, that’s sort of hopeful, but again, they still have problems with scheduling. Both Freeman and Cumberbatch are terribly busy, and with so much success, it’s hard to find the time.

What do you think the idea could be? Is it in existing Sherlock story? A new invention?
