Tonight, a decade-long show is coming to an end.  The CW will be sending Smallville out in style with a two hour long series finale.  Several fan favorite guest stars will be returning for the episode, including Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor (who hasn't been on the show for three years), Allison Mack as Chloe, John Glover as Lionel Luthor and Annette O’Toole and John Schneider as Martha and Jonathan Kent.

We've posted a lot of material leading up to the Smallville series finale tonight, including promo photos of Lex's return and Clark and Lois' wedding (here and here), a trailer and a short sneak peek.

Today we have one more thing for you.  The CW sat down to speak with four cast members: Tom Welling, Erica Durance, Cassidy Freeman and Michael Rosenbaum.  Below is a composite of their last interviews for the Smallville series finale.  They reminisce about their favorite moments, talk about the return of Rosenbaum to the Smallville set, discuss what set memorabilia they'd like to take with them, and thank the fans for their loyal support over the years.

Smallville Series Finale: The Cast Reminisces (Video Interviews)

Smallville's series finale is happening tomorrow night on the CW, and Warner Bros. is partnering with TVOvermind to help this classic series go out in style.

The CW series, Smallville, will be ending its impressive ten year run this week, on May 13.  The finale will be a culmination of all of the important themes and moments of the series - Clark's transformation into Superman, the relationships between the various characters, the struggle against evil, and, last but not least, the relationship between Clark and Lois.

Michael Rosenbaum will be reprising his role as Lex Luthor in the episode.  Other guest stars include John Glover, Allison Mack, Annette O’Toole and John Schneider.

At the end of the previous episode, Lois had told Clark that she couldn't marry him.  After being given Clark's powers for a day and having to fight a villain, Lois realized how important Clark's destiny was, and didn't want to detract him from that.

Smallville Sneak Peek: Series Finale

This is it, Smallville fans.  The  decade-long show will finally be coming to an end with a two hour series finale on May 13.  Expect a great deal of nostalgia.  Several guest stars will be returning for the series finale of Smallville.  Michael Rosenbaum will return as Lex Luthor, Allison Mack returns as Chloe, John Schneider and Annette O'Toole will appear as Martha and Jonathan Kent, and John Glover will return as Lionel Luthor.   Will any other surprise characters return?  Only time will tell.

We're curious as to how and why some of them will appear.  We know that Lex and Clark will have a confrontation and probably a showdown.  We also know that - somehow - Jonathan will also be appearing at Lois and Clark's wedding.  Despite the fact that Lois said to Clark that she couldn't marry him at the end of tonight's episode, photos show a wedding will take place during the episode.  But is it real?  And if it is, will it go of without a hitch?

Smallville Promo: The Series Finale

In 8 days time, Smallville fans will be sitting down to watch the series finale of this 10 season show.  The CW has opted to air a two hour finale, instead of breaking it up into two separate episodes (meaning Supernatural will be pre-empted on May 13 and return the following week).

We know that Michael Rosenbaum will be returning as Lex Luthor in the Smallville series finale.  In fact, we've already posted photos showing Rosenbaum with that trademark bald head, going up against Clark (view them here).

Now The CW has released photos of the other big event for the Smallville series finale: Clark and Lois' wedding.

As you can see from the photos below, Allison Mack will be returning as Chloe in the finale.  (Spoiler Alert!) We also know that John Glover, Annette O’Toole and John Schneider are listed as guest stars for the episode, although we don't know in what kind of a capacity they'll be appearing in the episode.

So let the speculation being for the series finale.  Will Clark finally assume his destiny of becoming Superman?  Will Clark and Lois get married without any interruptions?

Amazon has "Smallville: The Complete Series" DVD box set available for pre-order now (no word yet on a complete Blu-Ray box set for the series).

Smallville Finale Photos: Clark & Lois' Wedding

May 6 will mark the final episode of Smallville before the two hour series finale, which will take place on May 13.

Laura Vandervoort returns as Kara (a.k.a. Supergirl) in the May 6 episode of Smallville. While Oliver searches for the Bow of Orion - which may help remove the Omega symbol from his skull - he stumbles across Kara, who has returned to Metropolis to stop Darkseid.

Clark and Lois, meanwhile, have some pre-wedding challenges to deal with.  Clark takes his fiance to the Fortress of Solitude to inform Jor-El of their plans to marry and ask for his blessing.  Jor-El decides to give them an unusual gift.  In an effort to show Lois what it's like to be Clark, he transfers Clark's powers to Lois for a day.

Toyman (played by Chris Gautheir) returns to Metropolis to wreak some havoc on that day and, since Clark is out of commission, Lois is forced to fight Toyman.

Smallville Promo: Supergirl Returns in 10.20 "Prophecy"

Michael Rosenbaum will be reprising his role as Lex Luthor in the two hour series finale of Smallville, which will be airing on May 13.  Back when this news was first announced, Smallville producers had said: “It feels like the stars are aligning, literally. We couldn’t be more excited. And as far as the way he returns… there’ll be no doubt about how Lex becomes the great rival in Clark Kent’s life. He is the villain of the story.”

There's not too much known about the two hour Smallville series finale, but it will be the culmination of ten years of getting Clark ready to become Superman.  The CW also says that "Erica Durance, Allison Mack, Justin Hartley, Cassidy Freeman, John Glover, Annette O’Toole and John Schneider also star", so expect appearances from Chloe and the Kent parents, as well as Lionel Luthor.

Smallville Finale Photos: Lex Luthor Returns!

The penultimate episode of Smallville is approaching quickly (assuming you consider the two hour finale to technically be one episode).  On May 6, Clark and Lois will heading to the Fortress of Solitude to get approval for their marriage from Jor-El.  To celebrate the happy occasion, Jor-El takes the opportunity to give them a gift, with a lesson.  He gives Clark's powers to Lois so that she can understand what it's truly like to be him for a day.

Naturally, that's when tragedy strikes.  The Toyman has picked that very day to return to Metropolis, causing problems for the general population.  Lois is now forced to fight him instead of Clark.

Oliver, meanwhile, goes on a hunt for the Bow of Orion and stumbles into Kara (a.k.a. Supergirl), who is back in town trying to stop Darkseid.

Smallville Photos: Supergirl Returns in 10.20 "Prophecy"

Smallville star Justin Hartley makes his directorial debut in the April 29 episode, which also marks the return of Callum Blue as Zod.

In the April 29 episode, Tess learns that someone gained access to the Phantom Zone's escape portal when General Slade is found on the street corner where the portal is located.  Clark decides to travel to the Zoners' dimension to make sure that no one else is escaping.  Before he leaves, he decides to tell Tess a secret, but fails to tell Lois, which leads her to believe that Clark doesn't trust her.

Another problem springs up when Oliver decides to trick Clark into taking him to the Zoners' dimension.  After arriving, the pair are captured by the Zoners, who deliver their prisoners to their new leader: Zod.  Clark and Oliver will be forced to fight their way back to freedom and their own dimension.

Smallville Sneak Peek: Oliver & Clark Go to the Zoners' Dimension in 10.19 "Dominion"

We're in for a bloody, brutal, and gritty Smallville episode on April 29.  And there's only two more episodes left before the two hour Smallville finale on May 13.

On April 29, Callum Blue returns as Zod.  But not in the regular universe.  After Tess discovers that Phantom Zone successfully escaped from his home dimension - and had some help doing so - Clark decides to travel to the exiled land.  Oliver wants to come along, and ends up tricking Clark into taking him.  After they arrive, Clark loses his powers and he and Oliver learn that Zod is now ruling the Zoners.

The two of them embrace their inner gladiators and have to fight their way back to freedom after being captured by the Zoners, who deliver their prisoners to Zod.  We've already posted two sets of promo photos for the upcoming episode of Smallville (here and here) and now The CW has released a trailer, which you can view below.

Smallville Promo: Zod Returns & Smallville Goes Gladiator

You might be amazed at the Smallville connection with the now defunct Passions soap opera.  Justin Hartley, who used to play Fox Crane on Passions now obviously stars as Oliver.  His real-life wife, Lindsay Hartley, used to play Theresa on Passions and appeared as as Harriet in an episode this season.  Now Eric Martsolf (who used to play the sometimes-boyfriend of Hartley's Theresa on the soap) is appearing as Booster Gold in the April 22 episode of Smallville.

But that may not have mattered much to those of you who weren't Passions fans like I was.  In any event, tomorrow night marks a brand new episode of Smallville and the introduction of a superhero from the future who comes to Metropolis to ensure he's turns out more popular than The Blur.  He's a complete attention whore - posing for photos after saving people, and trying to convince reports, including Lois, to write stories about him.

Lois, meanwhile, tries to create a solid divide between Clark and his alter-ego, The Blur.  He's starting to look more and more like the Clark Kent we know from the movies and other Superman shows, glasses and all.

Smallville Preview: Introducing Booster Gold

Smallville fans, I have some bad news for you.  This set of photos will be the last ones before the photos for the two hour series finale airing on May 13.

But before we get to that momentous event, we have photos from The CW to share with you for the May 6 episode, entitled "Prophecy", which should be a pretty special episode.  Clark and Lois head to Clark's Fortress of Solitude, in order to get approval from Jor-El for their upcoming wedding.  He decides to give them a gift, but there's a bit of a twist.  He gives Clark's superpowers to Lois for one day, so she can understand what it's like to be him.  Of course, that so happens to be the same day that Toyman (played by Chris Gautheir) comes back to Metropolis and Lois is forced to fight him instead of Clark.

Smallville Photos: Episode 10.20 "Prophecy"

Smallville fans, there's only three more episodes before the big two-hour series finale on May 13.  But before Clark (might) don his cape, we're going to get introduced to another superhero on the April 22 episode: Booster Gold.

Booster Gold comes to Metropolis from the future.  He's a fame-hungry superhero, and he comes into town saving people and posing for photo ops.  He even makes his own commercial, as you can see in the trailer below, courtesy of The CW.  Booster's eager to prove that he's better than The Blur, and is the world's greatest superhero.  He even tries to get Lois to write a story about him.  But Lois is fiercely loyal to Clark and The Blur and tries to start her own campaign for him, while trying to make sure Clark isn't recognizable as his alter ego.

Another super-menace appears in this episode, when an alien weapon shaped like a scarab beetle falls off a truck and immediately latches itself on to a boy named Jamie Reyes.  The alien weapon gives him super-powers and turns him into the Blue Beetle, but Jamie isn't able to control his new suit and starts wreaking havoc on Metropolis.

Smallville Preview: Booster Gold Comes to Town

Yesterday we posted a few photos for the upcoming April 29 episode of Smallville (view them here), now The CW has released several more photos, which you can view below.

Callum Blue reprises his role as Zod in the April 29 episode.  Clark decides to travel to the exiled land of Phantom Zone after Tess discovers that Phantom Zone had some help in escaping his own land.  Clark wants to ensure that no other phantoms are escaping from the exiled land.  Oliver wants to go along and ends up tricking Clark into taking him.

Unfortunately, after they arrive, Clark no longer has his powers.  Further, Zod is actually in the exiled land and is now a ruler of the Zoners.  Clark and Oliver are quickly taken hostage and brought before Zod, who wants revenge against Clark for putting him in the Kryptonian prison.  The photos below show the capture of Clark and Oliver, as well as Zod's reappearance.

Back home, Lois feels a bit betrayed when she learns that Clark kept something from her, but told the secret to Tess.

Smallville Photos: Episode 10.19 "Dominion" (Zod Returns)

We're taking another trip to the alternate dimension on the April 15 new episode of Smallville.  The episode also marks the return of John Schneider as Jonathan Kent, but as an alternate version of Clark's father.

Clark stumbles upon a mirror box in the Kent family barn, and Clark Luthor shows up and sends him into his alternate reality.  While there, Clark meets up with a very different, and very angry, Jonathan Kent, who obviously isn't fond of Clark and doesn't share their father-son relationship.  If you've seen the photos for this episode that we previously posted (here), then you'll know that Jonathan actually attacks Clark with kryptonite.  Lois is also working to bring Clark home and enlists the help of Emil (played by Allesandro Juliani) to get Clark back from the alternate universe.

Meanwhile, back in our reality, Tess gets a visit from Clark Luthor, who pressures her into working with him and says he'll kill her if she doesn't agree.

Sneak Peek: Smallville 10.17 "Kent"

Smallville is set to end its ten-year run on May 13th. We all know that saying goodbye to a show that has been on for that long is always difficult for everyone, including the actors who have given their very best to bring to life characters we love so much.

That is the case with Allison Mack, who played Clark Kent's best friend, Chloe Sullivan for nine seasons. She was scheduled to appear in only five episodes this season, but decided that she had to return to the show one final time.

According to an interview she did with TV Guide, she will appear in the series finale, which will be a two-parter. She doesn't give anything away about what is going to happen to her character, but she teases that Chloe "ends in a very healthy and levelheaded way. I think that the writers have respected my character for such a long time, and she goes out with the same affection she came in with. I'm really proud of it."

As for what's next for Allison Mack, she says that she is going to take a little breather and focus on theater for a while.

The series finale of Smallville is scheduled to air on Friday, May 13th, at 8pm on The CW.

Allison Mack Returns To Smallville

Smallville returns from hiatus with a new episode on April 15.  A week later, on April 22, two DC Comics characters will be making an appearance in the episode: Booster Gold and Blue Beetle.  The CW has released promo photos for the upcoming episode.

On April 22, Lois suggests to Clark that his daytime persona should become less noticeable so that people don't suspect he's The Blur after everything that happened with the VRA.  So Clark starts adopting the look of Clark Kent, newspaper reporter - complete with the trenchcoat and glasses.  At the same time, Booster Gold (played by Eric Martsolf) arrives from the future.  Booster is a fame-hungry superhero, who's interested in posing for reporters after saving people's lives.  Metropolis starts showering Booster with gratitude and recognition and he continues on his path to overshadow The Blur as the "World's Greatest Superhero".  He even tries to convince Lois to write an article about him.  But Lois is loyal to Clark and The Blur and tries to counter Booster's PR campaign with one for The Blur.

Jaden Brandt will also be guest starring as Jamie Reyes/The Blue Bettle, after an alien weapon resembling a scarab beatle falls from a truck during one of Booster's saves and latches on to Jamie.  Unlike Booster and The Blur, however, Jamie is not able to control his powers or his new suit and starts attacking citizens around Metropolis.

Smallville Photos: Episode 10.18 "Booster"

Smallville returns with new episodes on April 15, and the show is working its way to the end of the series (which will take place during a two-hour finale on May 13). On the April 15 episode, Clark is forced to returned to the alternate universe we last saw in the episode "Luthor".  After finding a mirror box in the Kent family barn, Clark Luthor sends Clark Kent to the alternate reality.

In the alternate reality, Clark finds a very different Jonathan Kent (John Schneider). TV Line says that this is a very different Jonathan Kent than we've seen before.  That this Jonathan is broke and homeless, and doesn't have Martha.

In the normal universe, Clark Luthor plays Tess a little visit and gives her a choice: either she joins him or he'll kill her.  Allesandro Juliani will be guest starring at Emil and Lois will ask for his help in getting Clark back from the alternate universe.

In anticipation of Clark and Lois' upcoming nuptials, the Smallville couple heads to Las Vegas with their friends. Of course, everything goes horribly wrong.  Zatanna gifts the couple with a bottle of magic-spiked champagne, causing the entire group to get raging drunk and eventually black out.  When the group awakens the next morning, no one can remember what they did the night before.

Lois and Oliver team up to try and find Lois' lost engagement ring.  They head to the Fortune Casino, where they run into Fortune (played by James Kidnie), who accuses them of theft.

Clark and Chloe, meanwhile, also go on a little adventure.  One that involves an armored truck theft and...a wedding?

Smallville Sneak Peek: Do Clark & Chloe Get Married?!

Smallville will be going on hiatus for the rest of March after the March 4 episode airs.  The CW has recently released promo photos for the upcoming March 4 episode.  Lionel (guest star John Glover) will go toe to toe with Tess in an ultimate battle for the "Luthor name".  Will that include ultimate control of LuthorCorp?  Which one will win?  Apparently Clark and Lois are also very shocked by Tess' most recent gift to the couple.

Smallville Photos: Tess & Lionel Go Head to Head

Well, this is odd.  Just yesterday EW reported that Michael Rosenbaum (who spent many seasons playing Lex Luthor on Smallville) had decided not to return for the Smallville two-hour finale.  EW said that they "had learned" that Rosenbaum had declined an offer for him to return, despite the fact that many fans were hoping he would return before the series ended in May.  Labeling the story an "EXCLUSIVE", they quoted a knowledgeable source, who said: “He has put the show behind him and moved on.  He’s pursuing his other creative outlet [writing]. By all indications, he is not going to be involved.”

Needless to say, many people were disappointed by this news.  Fast forward to 24 hours later, and TV Line has just reported that Rosenbaum will actually be returning for the super-sized Smallville finale, which will be airing on May 13.  Normally I'd call the bluff, but then Rosenbaum himself tweeted that he was, in fact, returning: "I'm excited to come back one last time. Just promise me you'll all watch my new stuff. Then we will be even. Haha. Rock the hell on friends!"  Smallville executive producers are obviously thrilled about Lex's return: “It feels like the stars are aligning, literally. We couldn’t be more excited. And as far as the way he returns… there’ll be no doubt about how Lex becomes the great rival in Clark Kent’s life. He is the villain of the story.”

Considering the man himself confirmed it, I'd say it was true.  But I'm kind of shocked that this so easily contradicts the EW article that appeared just yesterday.  I'm thinking that "knowledgeable source" wasn't all that knowledgeable.

Michael Rosenbaum to Appear in Smallville Finale (Despite What You Read Yesterday)

Smallville is coming to an end in May.  I know, Smallville fans, you're sad.  But it's been 10 years.  The good news is that The CW has just confirmed that you'll be getting a two-hour series finale.  We're not certain exactly what will happen before the final credits - whether Clark will really fly, don his cape and actually marry Lois - but we have a feeling the producers will make it something epic.

So has The CW.  The network has just confirmed that they will be airing a special two-hour series finale on Friday, May 13 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

What does that mean for Supernatural?  Well, don't get yourselves in a tizzy, Supernatural fans.  Yes, our show will be delayed for a week to allow Smallville to have its super-sized finale.  But Supernatural will also be airing a two-hour season finale on Friday, May 20 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

All in all, I'd say this is very good news for both shows.  We'll be getting another 4 weeks of new episodes for Smallville and Supernatural, then both series will be on a hiatus for the rest of March and will return at a yet unannounced date in April.

Smallville and Supernatural to Each Get 2 Hour Finales

Annette O'Toole returns for an all new Smallville on February 11.  Martha Kent decides to speak at a pro-vigilante rally, unbeknownst to Clark, who is surprised to see here there.  But Martha gets shot at during the rally, with Clark and Lois watching on television back at home.  Some people speculate that this is the reason Smallville and Supernatural were postponed a week - to allow for extra time before airing this scene, which I suppose is somewhat reminiscent of what happened Arizona.  But that's primarily just speculation and nothing has been confirmed.

In addition to Martha's return, we'll also be seeing Lionel Luthor again.  The Luthor patriarch decides to reveal his existence to the world at large and take back LuthorCorp from Oliver and Tess.

This episode will also mark the debut of the fanmade videos submitted to The CW as part of a contest they ran a little while ago, asking fans to send in videos explaining what The Blur means to them.  The CW will be choosing several videos to appear during the episode while Lois and Chloe try to cheer up Clark by showing him the winning entries.

Smallville Sneak Peeks: Lionel Luther & Martha Kent Return

One Tree Hill did a Hangover-type episode a little while ago, and now it seems like it's Smallville's turn to do the same.  Clark, Lois, and their friends head to Vegas to celebrate their upcoming nuptials with a bachelor/bachelorette party on the February 25 new episode of Smallville.  Unfortunately, they black out after Zatanna gives them a bottle of champagne spiked with magic.  After waking up the next morning, they discover they don't remember anything from the night before.

Let the hijinks ensue!  Lois realizes she lost her engagement ring the night before and drafts Oliver to the last place she remembers wearing it: the Fortune Casino.  James Kidnie will be making a guest appearance as Fortune, who run into Lois and Oliver, and accuses them of stealing from him.  Clark and Chloe go on their own little adventure, where Clark confesses he thinks he stole an armored truck the night before.

The CW has released promo photos for the February 25 Smallville episode.  Chloe looks badass with her two guns, doesn't she?  And Lois, of course, is wearing the crazy showgirl outfit.

Smallville Photos: Clark & the Gang Head to Vegas

Smallville returns this Friday with an all new episode (after the return was delayed a week).  Chloe finally returns to the show on February 4 (view photos and a sneak peek for the episode).  It looks like she'll be sticking around for a few episodes, because she'll also be appearing in the February 11 episode (view photos) and the February 18 episode.  The CW has now released promo photos and a short synopsis for the February 18 episode, which you can view below.

CHLOE AND OLIVER ARE KIDNAPPED

Chloe (Allison Mack) and Oliver (Justin Hartley) are mistaken for FBI agents investigating Desaad’s (guest star Steve Byers) recent string of murders and the pair are kidnapped by Desaad’s minions.

Desaad tries to infect Chloe with the darkness. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) tells Clark (Tom Welling) he needs to be more careful with his identity and suggests a disguise. Tim Scanlan directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller
