Smallville is hitting a very big milestone that not many shows ever get to hit: its 200th episode. On October 15, the show has decided to celebrate the big event by sending Clark back to highschool. Well, in a sense. He and Lois Lane will be attending their five-year high school reunion. James Marsters (Buffy alum), who previously played Brainiac will be returning for a guest appearance in the episode.
TV Guide has posted an exclusive sneak peek into the official promo for the episode. Executive producer Kelly Souders told TV Guide that we should be feeling nostalgic during the episode: "there are all kinds of nods that go back to the beginning... a lot of glimpses." TV Guide also reveals that Clark will be traveling into the future "and runs into himself at the most "Man of Steel" moment the show has thrown at us so far."
In addition to this big episode, Teri Hatcher, who played Lois Lane in another Superman show with Dean Cain, will be making an appearance in episode 10.08 - as Lois' mother. Lois' mother is dead in Smallville, so whether we'll see her in a flashback or another way, we have yet to see. She posted this on her Facebook page about her experience filming the show:
I shot my Smallville part. While I'm sworn to secrecy, I can tell you that it was a blast from the past and it was with love in my heart that I tried to deliver something that served the part, honored the show in it's 10th season, and gave a tip of the hat to all the deserved fans who've supported me all these years. Many thanks. It was lots of fun. Check out this photo from the set. Can you believe it? Ah...Lois. I love Susan but I've missed you:) Stay tuned for info and air dates.
