Bobby Simone is joining SAMCRO!Jimmy Smits

The popular FX drama Sons of Anarchy has tapped Emmy Nominee Jimmy Smits for a season long arc when the series returns this July.

Smits, better known for the dramas NYPD Blue and Dexter (and not the disastrous Outlaw), will play a shady gangster who becomes a mentor to Jax.

As a fan of Smits, I tend to enjoy his more sinister characters to his moral ones. What about you Sons of Anarchy fans? How do you think Jimmy Smits presence will affect the new season?
