Fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder are still a little salty that Kevin Durant left as a free agent to join the Golden State Warriors in an effort to win a championship. What better way to exact revenge on Durant than with a clever T-shirt? Oklahoma City’s going to be a little more hectic than usual tonight as Durant’s Warriors visit OKC. The shirt floating around Oklahoma City features the word “Koward” on the front, referencing Durant’s initials and also the fact that he is, well, a coward. There’s also a cupcake on the back for good measure. The cupcake represents Durant being soft.
In addition to the shirt, there was even a time when Kevin Durant’s Wikipedia page was doctored. According to Uproxx
The “soft” narrative came years ago after some inconsistent performances in the playoffs where The Oklahoman called him “Mr. Unreliable” in a huge headline. Some Thunder fans are clearly ignoring all the good times Durant had with Westbrook and Co. there for eight seasons and want to focus on the failures. Which is fine, but won’t get them much more than a few new shirts to wear at the gym.
It should be an interesting game on OKC to say the least. So far we’ve heard nothing from Russell Westbrook on this. Hopefully his play does the talking.
