Ya know what I'm tired of? Watching a show where everyone hates each other. And what was with that chair? Why would a race as advanced as the Ancients make a simple information device that damn invasive to anyone who used it? It's ridiculous, and the equivalent of Amazon selling Kindles with bear traps glued to the sides or something. I'm not talking about the download itself, because duh, the differences in neuro-physiology made that dangerous already, but rather the temple clamps that drove themselves into the fat guy's head like a torture device from the Saw series. Stupid, and just plain sloppy.

Yeah, I'm pretty much done with this show. When you raise high stakes, you have to be given a reason to care about the people facing them, and right now I couldn't care less about any of them. Well, maybe Eli, because he really shouldn't be there to begin with, but is the only one not complaining about it every second of the day. And Rush's whole "IT'S NEVER OVER" line explosion was just utter garbage as well, and only served to provide Young motivation to bash his skull in and leave him there. Rush is a highly intelligent and coldly calculating schemer, not a confrontational objectivist. He would have taken his licks, given his fake appologies, and gone back to his cabin to cover 10 more pages in his little love journal with "I hate Col Young," written over and over again. The writers don't care about these people, the actors portraying them don't seem to care either, so why should I?

Here we are, over 5 eps into the series, and I just don't feel the need to watch anymore. The show has waited until NOW to start showing Chloe in a more positive note? Telford is a huge disappointment, and Young has started showing more backbone in the past 2-3 eps? Granted, he was injured, but still! The few likeable characters in the show are usually shown as idiots quite frequently. I don't mind the premise of the show, but at LEAST give us characters we can like, feel sympathy/admiration for! They partially explained everyone's irritability in the first few eps as caffeine and nicotine withdrawal. okay, fine. But why haven't they settled down yet????

On a side note: Camile asking stupid questions as to why Spencer had access to a gun…well, I served in the military, and you would NOT believe what stupid questions even the SPOUSES asked! "What do you mean there's an exercise this weekend?! Doesn't your commander know you HAVE to go to my mom's? You just tell him you can't participate!" Yeah, they DID say that, and worse! So Camile didn't really ask a "stupid" question.

I wish I could work up the enthusiasm to watch this ep. I recorded it, but I just don't have the interest.

Mark O Estes I do agree with you about Scott being a dumb little prick, blindly loyal to Young, and the rockslide thing could be a good point if anybody had actually mentioned that there was a clear path from gate to ship. Maybe there was a huge ass hill that they went around to get to the crashed ship, but since they were running out of time on the way back, maybe going over yonder hill was faster. Of course they didn't mention that in the episode. A 47 or whatever minute show doesn't have time to give us every single detail maybe? I should be a writer for this show no? I could just be the guy that attempts to fix all these nagging little details, yeah? I'd be good at it yeah? I'm wery wery smart.

I think Eli and Young decided to take Rush out rather than risk widening the split between the military and civilians. The civillian might want their own guns. Greer was ready to kick someone's butt. Hug it out Greer?

I didn't get the ancient lazyboy. If the interface is dangerous, why not download the information? Anyone bring one of those Stargate Atlantis laptops. Is it Bluetooth compatible?

I dont think Young's hatred got the better of him. Right from the start Young suspected Rush had an alterior motive, but over the last few episodes he has realised that Rush will never help them to get home. Worse, Rush keeps lying to them all and twisting the course of events to get what he wants. There is no way Young can trust anything he says anymore.

It seems like Rush is only interested in Ancient knowledge so he can ascend. Im betting he will use that ship on the planet to return to Destiny. He will probably lie some more and convince most of the crew to move over to the planet ship (telling them it can be controlled unlike Destiny?) and then escape with Destiny to continue his research. The crew being left with a ship with no chance of getting back to Earth.

With Eli/Young I think Young wanted to protect his image and not risk splitting the crew. As you said, if people saw that they would know he lied. This clearly upset Eli a bit, so he might crack and tell someone later.

It was great to see Chloe actually do something this week. If they did have a civilian leader she might make more sense than Camile. She seems to think things through better without jumping to conclusions, and she can stand up for herself too (important with a ship full of soldiers!).

Um, I asked why no one asked about Young's face once he got out of the gate. He didn't leave bruised up so, what the hell happened? Everyone knows the tension is thick between Young and Rush so nobody questioned his story about a rock slide when Vanessa James and Volker knew there was a clear path to the dilapidated ship from the gate? I even stated that in my thoughts and observations at the end of the post.

I think the final scene between El and Young meant that Eli knows Young is lying about what happened to Rush. And I find interesting that Young's hatred of Rush got the better of him. I mean, without Rush, they're screwed, and surely Young knows it, yet that didn't deter him from leaving Rush behind…Rush is a snake to have framed Young, but at least he didn't leave him stranded somewhere like that! Maybe that was Young way of showing Rush that he was indeed capable of making "life and death" decisions, but in the process he put his whole crew in a life and death situation too. I can't wait for them to be in jeopardy and for Rush to come back like some messiah to save them all with his alien ship (and use the rescue to his advantage, of course).

You silly reviewer, you think you're just the smartest cookie on the block. Nobody asked about Young's face cause of the rockslide story. And Spencer recorded himself commiting suicide because he was a lunatic, nothing to question there. Oh yeah and the vent thing, well I don't have no snappy remark for that one, but sometimes people get a 'feeling' about something. Eli doesn't trust Young and so he says to himself, "Hmm, I am so checkin' that convenient little hiding place-vent." Also your grammar and spelling is crap.
