The rivalry between Tessa and Dalia took a major hit once their parents decided to get together. For much of the first season of Suburgatory, the two butted heads due to their differences and resisted the idea of having to spend more time with one another should George and Dallas act on their obvious feelings for one another. All that ended up being for naught, though, and the blonde Barbie and the sardonic city girl will now have to find a way to get along, for the sake of their parents and the relationship they recently began.
That’s not going so well on the next episode of Suburgatory, as the topic of PSAT scores comes up and Dalia has received a car for her effort while Tessa gets ice cream. Naturally, Tessa drives herself a little nutty trying to find out Dalia’s score, but that rift seeps into George and Dallas’ relationship and gives them their first real fight. They’re very opposite in a lot of their choices and that gets magnified when their children get involved; their oppositeness is a lot of what drew them together, George seeing Dallas’ huge heart behind the huge hair and Dallas needing a low-key guy to balance her out, but it can also make for conflict. What will determine the course of their relationship is how they handle said conflict and if they can find a way to meet in the middle.
Elsewhere on Suburgatory, Ryan heads back to Malik’s house, unable to get over not being told about the adoption, while Noah and Jill seek Mr. Wolfe’s help in getting Opus into a good day care.
