Supernatural 5x01 - "Sympathy For The Devil" Trailer

The season 4 finale of Supernatural was a hell of a cliffhanger. Literally. Okay, bad pun, but what Supernatural fans want to know is: are we going to see Sam and Dean kick a little devil butt from the get go? Naturally, it wouldn’t be Supernatural if our heroes started out looking in good shape – and from the looks of this recently aired promo from Supernatural’s season 5 premiere “Sympathy for the Devil,” it looks like the guys may be having a rough time from all angles. Look for small spoilers ahead.

Careful viewing is recommended, and may reveal some surprising info. Is that Jo pouring salt down a Winchester’s throat? Is Dean in a plane crash, or is that from an earlier episode in season one? The overall tone of the promo is interesting and seems to hint that Lucifer’s plan for hell on earth begins with convincing the masses that he is not here – a play on that popular occult concept that Satan’s greatest deception was convincing mankind he did not exist.

Hopefully in coming weeks we’ll see even more Supernatural goodies. In the meantime, if you haven’t checked out our promo pics Supernatural 5.01 "Sympathy For The Devil", they are worth a look right here.

How so very blase.  I can't imagine what would make Kripke think that anything in these two episodes are even surprising. Oh and look, Dean once again stands by while superSam breaks down to wall to reveal secrets learned in hell and save the day.  Meanwhile Cas will feed on Sam's supersoul to get enough energy to defeat Raphael.  Then poor heroic Sam will fall down and we will all worry if poor heroic Sam will ever wake up again! Oh Noes!! The Drama!

Honestly Kripke, these finales sound as bad as Gamble's bad fanfiction episodes we've been getting all season long. So I guess Supernatural will end as lame as it has been all season.  Well, at least it had two good episodes, Weekend At Bobby's and Frontierland.  And to think, it used to be that the show had only one or two bad episodes all season.  Now we're lucky if we get one or two good episodes per season.
