FINALLY! After not releasing any promo photos for last week's episode and this coming episode (forcing me to use generic shots for my recaps - argh!) The CW has released a slew of photos for the upcoming meta episode of Supernatural, which will be airing on February 25.
Written by resident funnyman Ben Edlund, "The French Mistake" finds Sam and Dean transported to an alternate reality. Raphael, who's vessel was previously destroyed and is now played by Lanette Ware, decides to go after Castiel and his allies in Heaven. So, naturally, he sends an angelic hitman after Balthazar, Dean and Sam. Balthazar decides to be nice and protect the Winchesters, sending them to an alternate reality where they are actors on a TV show called Supernatural and their names are Jared and Jensen.
Jared's real life wife - and former co-star - Genevieve Cortese returns to play....well, Sam's wife. Misha Collins gets to play himself, a tweet-happy actor
There's only two ways this episode could go folks. It's either going to be the most brilliant meta peisode this show has ever done (even with a history of some great meta episodes and self-references) or it's going to be a flop. Since it's written by Edlund, I'm thinking it's going to be awesome.
