Supernatural Preview: Angels, Demons and….Mind Control?

SupernaturalThe Benny situation came to a head in the winter finale of Supernatural when Sam told Dean that he had asked fellow (formerly-crazy) hunter Martin to keep an eye on Benny down in Louisiana.  It turns out that a dead body had turned up and Martin was convinced that Benny was the killer.  Dean asked for time to speak to his friend to determine if he was back to his blood-sucking ways and Benny convinced Dean that another vampire was responsible for the murders and wanted Benny to join his new nest.  Benny and Dean took him down, but Martin refused to leave things be and tried to trap Benny.  But Martin ended up dead and Benny ran off.

Meanwhile, Sam got a mysterious text from Amelia asking him to come quickly, but it turns out that she seems to be fine and back with Don.  So….who sent the text?  Well, it turns out it was Dean, who wanted Sam away from the Benny hunt.  The brothers are on the outs right now and Sam was shocked to see Amelia in the bar.  For more on the episode, read our full review.

Supernatural is now on hellatus until January.  From the looks of the promo, “Torn and Frayed” will be a very mythology based episode, with Naomi returning (and possibly completely messing with Castiel’s brain), along with Crowley making a reappearance.

Watch a preview below for the January 16th return of Supernatural on The CW!

Keep an eye on our Supernatural page over the next month for spoilers, sneak peeks, photos and more.
