We got a terrific and fun episode of Supernatural this week. Sheriff Mills returned and told the guys about a strange case where mummified bodies were turning up in Ohio. Without realizing it, the boys were tracking Chronos, the God of Time. While attacking him, Dean was transported back to 1944, where he was promptly arrested and came across Eliot Ness. It turns out that Ness himself was a hunter and the two started tracking Chronos (who called himself Ethan in this time and even had a girlfriend). Back in the present, Sheriff Mills joined Sam to figure out a way to bring Dean back to the present. It took a lot of work, but they were eventually able to summon Chronos and Dean to 2011. Supernatural will be going on a short hiatus for the next two Fridays. But don't panic, because new episodes will resume on Friday, February 3. In that episode, titled "The Slice Girls", The Vampire Diaries' Sara Canning will be guest starring as a woman named Lydia. Sam and Dean roll into town to investigate a bizarre - and disgusting - case where the victims' hands and feet have been cut off and branded with strange symbols. Sam heads off to do some research, while Dean heads to the bar to question the locals. While there, he comes across Lydia and the two have....ahem....a pleasurable evening. Sam learns that the symbol on the bodies is that of Amazon warriors. Who wants to bet that Lydia is an Amazon? Worse yet is what happens next!

does anybody else think that dean knocking up some chcik with a demon spawn is a bit i dont know stupid and lame :/
I would think Dean used protection so I don't think Dean has a kid, at least I hope the show is not that dumb because it can't end well. My guess is the kid belongs to someone else and hopefully Lydia is not one of the Amazons. I found the preview a bit disturbing!
Elliot Ness and the Untouchables ( called Untouchables because of extensive corruption of Chicago's Federal Agents he could only find eleven men who were above bribery ) took place in the years 1927 and 1931 during the prohibition era, in 1944 Ness was Chairman of the Diebold Corporation , a security safe company. The researchers for the tv show should have caught this, hell, it should be common knowledge. If it was essential to have Ness in the story they should have dropped Dean off in the 20s, it still would have worked and the only difference would have been the extra costs of finding all those antique cars, but that is preferable to having the writing staff look like a bunch of uneducated idiots.
Some writers sometimes think the audience is not too bright so they do things that don't make sense. Ness's best years were in the late 20's and 30's. By 1944 he was on downward spiral, which is sad. So I agree, the 1944 was not a good year, but I guess he was still working, although not for law enforcement.
The Amazon concept could work since the show has always been about the conflict between the older pagan gods and the newer Judeo- Christian father god and his angels. We saw this in Hammer of the Gods, and it was mentioned in A Very Supernatural Christmas. Amazons were actually warrior -priestesses of the older Mother religion. Of course Supernatural is telling the story of Revelations which has the Leviathans and a mysterious pregnant woman so Lydia could be this lady as well.
Ness was still hunting on the Sly in 1944, I wish people would do there research before putting down a world class series. Silly people
