More Supernatural Season 6 Spoilers

Last week we posted spoilers about what we should expect to see in season 6 of Supernatural and we learned that the show will go back to more one-shot storytelling with an season-long goal.  In light of the season 5 finale that aired late last week, a lot of people are wondering how that will work.  In some respects it's not really a return to the first or second season, since the show has always had a lot of one-off episodes with a long-term goal woven in, but we can expect that the Apocalypse storyline will be over and done with.

Now, courtesy of a translated Brazilian interview with Jensen Ackles, we learn a pretty big spoiler about season six.  Seriously, don't read any further if you don't want to know!

Expect season six to pick up a few years after the season five finale:

For the creative aspect, we need to understand we just got over a gigantic climax and we’re getting into an unknown territory. The Apocalypse was avoided. That’s why we getting forward a few years and see where the Winchesters are and how it’s their lives. I can’t help, but think of the final scene of “The Hurt Locker” (2009 Oscar winner), when the main character sees himself in front of a shelf with several cereal boxes and doesn’t know what to do. The guy disarms bombs in Iraq, but gets lost on the supermarket! That is not his reality, just like not being a hunter looks like a different world to Dean. All his life was dedicated to one single task, almost like a voluntary slavery, now it’s time to face the monster of real world. That’s totally new to me, through the acting perspective, and I’ll explore a lot more of Dean’s life, that’s why I’m so excited. A kind of introspective tension, like inside monsters.

Now, I know what you're all thinking - they're going to pull a Desperate Housewives!  The truth is I'm both fascinated and frightened to see where this will lead.  Supernatural has always followed a pretty tight and sequential time-line, so it will be interesting to see how this works out.

The question is, of course, what will we see when we jump into the future?  I speculated in my season finale recap that I believed Sam wouldn't reveal himself to Dean and would let his brother live out a normal life.  If that's true, Dean's going to be pretty pissed when he finds out his brother is alive after thinking him in Hell or many years.  What would push Dean back into hunting if he's been out of it for a few years?  Will he just up and leave Lisa and Ben?  I can't really see the whole family going out on the road, so I honestly don't know how this will play out, but I'm very interested in finding out.

In the meantime, if you follow the link to the translation, you'll find scans of the original interview.  If anyone out there speaks the language and wants to double-check the translation (not that I distrust the original translator, of course!), feel free to post your translation in the comments below.

I knew there was a jump. Then Sam will drag Dean from his normal life. But will it mean death for Lisa and Ben?

  2. eibbed says:

it looked to me that sam might be a ghost with the light flashing like that ……? just a thought, and i thought some one was supposed to die off which did not happened bobby was brought back by cas and cass by God or the Phrophet? soo wouldn't make the beloved character be killed would be sam?

  3. hlots11 says:

"Normal" live, and Ben and Lisa, have no place on this show, so it's probable. Especially Lisa, since women don't last long on this show (and definitely not ones who have no character development behind them). Not to mention that whole "relationship" is pretty ridiculous, anyway – but my biggest concern is that so many people were afraid of a time jump, and now here it is. I hope SPN pulls it off, and I'm sure they'll do better than Ghost Whisperer and the other soaps that pull stuff like this, but I'm already a little disappointed.

Whatever path the show takes, It will be great. The writers and actors have kept us all spellbound through many ups and downs and we still crave more and more… Dean and Sam have become family to so many of us and we are definitely not going to be happy when their wild ride ends- no matter how some of us complain about the storyline in the mean time.If they continued past this next season, I'm sure fans would follow and watch intently… <3

  6. yomama says:

Maybe Sam's an angel now? since his presence turn lights off.

  7. Donna says:

Reapers also caused lights to blink out (see "Faith") so I doubt he's an angel. More likely it's just power bleeding off him or an after effect of being plunked down there. At any rate, I'm not happy about the prospect of a time jump. Seems like a really lazy way to move the plot ahead without actually having to work for it.

  8. Pip says:

Please Sera don't turn the one show I still watch into some lame soap opera. IDGAF about Lisa and Ben. I want Sam and Dean back on the road saving people and hunting things.

  9. DJ says:

they will probly do to lisa and ben like they do to everyone that they dont want in the show…kill them off…it will probly be around the lines of a new and powerful demon killing them and dean go after it for 2 seasons.

  10. kris says:

    the phrophet is god

  11. supernaturalwar says:

The Supernatural Series is wierd i think Sam is actually still possessed by Lucifer and that the light blinking off happened from the Demonic Possession. On the other hand everytime Sam drank demon blood the lights would flicker so it could go either way i just know Supernatural really has their worked cut out for them after Dean leaving bobby and Castiel leaving Dean to go back to heaven.

  12. tfur says:

The show made Sam's return a little ambiguous, with the streetlight flickering. We don't know how he got back, or what he is exactly. I hope he's human, and alive, and free of the demon blood/Lucifer thing. Sam deserves to have a chance at happiness too, and so does Dean. I'm looking forward to their meeting again.I hope they won't kill off Lisa and Ben. There could be other means to have Dean rejoin Sam, and that would mean more angst and guilt for Dean that I wouldn't want. And season 6 better have Cas in it.

  13. miss leeann says:

ok im sorry i cant even just read that and keep going. i have to admit that i just laughted my *** off. ok anyway thats kinda exsactly how i hope it happends, dean doesnt deserve just any girl that he had some fling with like 9 years ago. and him and sam need to reconect because hell kill sam if Sam has been alive for years and just decided not to tell him…

  14. Anita says:

What if Sam did come back with Lucifer or a demon still attached and was the one who takes out Lisa and Ben. All Dean knows is that something killed them and goes back on the hunt to find this entity. That is when he finds out that Sam is still alive and he has to excorcise the demon possessing Sam. Then he must deal with being angry at Sam and with Sam's guilt of what he had done while possessed. Far fetched I know but a theory.

  15. DrBeezy says:

First of all, the whole "Chuck as God" perception is pretty ambiguous. Maybe he was God, maybe he wasn't. I personally don't think so, but I am almost certain that this will be addressed in the show or by the writers/actors at some point because there does seem to be a lot of dissension among fans on this issue. The truth is that as of right now, we don't actually know for sure.Honestly, reading this news about Season 6 was kind of disheartening to me. While I do trust the writers/Sera Gamble, I still feel like it's going to be pretty hard to pull off. Perhaps Sam will find himself in a situation that merits Dean's help, and he'll go to extract Dean from his new life — just like Dean sought Sam's assistance in the first season. It would be a decent parallel plot-line and the fact that some time has passed may actually enhance the parallel because Dean will have had time to grow into his new life, just like Sam had time to settle into a "new life" at Stanford. However, there's still the whole Lisa/Ben debacle. Like some other commenters, I agree that Lisa and Ben have no real place on the show — IDGAF about them either and that type of telenovela plot-line complete with a domesticated Dean and Ben's questionable paternity is not something that most fans of this show would want to watch. I doubt that the writers will have any reservations about killing Lisa off, though I'm worried that they might be less inclined to axe Ben. And the truth is that I just don't think I can stomach Sam and Dean hunting things with a kid in tow — talk about major jumpage of the shark. Definitely way too Three Men and a Baby — okay, two men (one overgrown) and a ten(?) year-old, sans Tom Selleck's mustache. Yep, I'll pass on that.HOWEVER, because the writers haven't led us astray thus far, I remain cautiously optimistic. I'm honestly excited to see where they'll take it.

    • projmig says:

On the "How to survive an Apocalypse" special feature. (Which is on the 6th disc of season 5, one of the writers remarks about Chuck being God. FYI

  16. outhiking says:

as much as this pains me to say, i wish they would have just stopped with the prophet dissapearing, let us think it was god and end the show without sam in the window. the show got it right when it said the fans would be pissed, but how nicely packaged is an ending in real life anyway? i know it was a tough ending to deal with for a tv series, but it was just like the show…full of sacrifice, pushing back feelings, and doing what needed to be done to save people.

  17. waldorbigbill says:

If you going to take it in to the future why not say Sam is still Lucifer and Kills Lisa .Ben is now a young man and Dean tries to not be like his dad but is force to bring him into hunting and finally come to terms he must kill sam for this to end? Then they can figure out a way to bring Sam back like they did dean and then move on to old school show with a third leg Ben. Could be some funny stuff trying to raise kid have bobby or Cas watch after him ect.. Change of pace for the show.

  18. Veronica says:

well at the end of the last episode it was said that Dean and Bobby did not see one another for a long time, so I had guessed there would be some sort of time jump. During the time jump, it would be funny to see Dean as the leader of GhostFacers! lmao…j/k

  19. xedxgex says:

i think one reason for the time jump is the not only to see ben grow up but to see the anti christ grow as well. I believe he might play bigger role in the next season.

  20. Saad says:

You know, it doesn't have to be either. Him coming back to life in itself is a Supernatural phenomena, which could turn lights and whatnot. On the other hand, he controlled the devil himself, so Sam's pretty damn strong. Maybe he has evil powers, and uses them for good or something.as for moving the plot ahead, I'd rather have that than seeing it turn into a bitchy show like 90210 etc.

  21. Mick121 says:

yeah its possible that he could come back as an angel but angels dont just make lights fliker they blow up so i doubt it more likely that sam turns up to hunt something that makes the lights fliker and hes gone to dean for help

  22. medic04 says:

Yea, the whole Sam thing is up in the air. The street light flickering of course is one thing. If you listen in the background it goes from a normal night to sounding very ominous. The wind picks up to a low howl and there is a lot of thunder (Meaning a lot of lightning.) Is this because of Sam? Remember all demon's are going to be pissed at Dean and they may have located him. Sam may have been there to help. I'll have to say he did an excellent job of giving away nothing with his facial expression. I did notice though that he was wearing the same shirt he jumped into the cage in. So if this is several years down the line he probably just got out. Lisa was freaked by the supernatural. I'm betting that something happens that endangers her or Ben and decides to leave. Or Dean decides to leave to keep them safe. As for Chuck being God. Deans amulet never grew hot in his presence.

  23. luis says:

it makes perfect sense to me, lisa gave him the bendiest weekend of his life … that shoul mean something

  24. Fantastic show, great actors, super humor, just enough drama… storyline is amazing, addictive and always enticing. Obviously there are a few "fillers" in the series, but overall, this has been a show that has kept me looking at the calendar almost every day waiting for the next show.

  25. James Dizzle says:

i reckon lisa's going to be a demon in the end. or what would be interesting is if Bobby dissappears like their father did in the pilot and sam comes knocking for dean! interesting plot :D

  26. Hemal says:

    – "I just don't think I can stomach Sam and Dean hunting things with a kid in tow"Haha that'll be like watchin a weird cross between Two and a Half Men and Supernatural LMAO!

  27. Anita says:

Wow! You are not kidding on that one! Please don't add a smart-mouthed kid to the mix. I think I'd gag!

  28. MysteryMadchen says:

THANK YOU!!! I hate the character of Lisa and her ruggy little brat and I don't like the idea of the show jumping years in the future. Dean being the step-ford Dad living his little apple pie life while "selfish" Sam goes his own way. I sure hope they don't kill Lisa off and make her this icon for Dean's revenge. I hope that they get smart as the show writers and only advance the show a few months because I want Sam and Dean back the focus of the damn show!!! Where Dean is running after one night stands and Sam is the responsible one. I don't want to see Dean married to that throw in character and the "selfish" Sam ripping him from his perfect life and thrusting him back into the dark life. The one, might I add that Sam didn't even want in the first place.!!!!!!! The thought that the writer's are going to be that dumb and pull the show years into the future and ruin what is left of such a fantastic show makes my stomach hurt and really turns me off the even watching it. Supernatural is my favorite show and I'm so scared they are going to destroy it even more. I loved the brother relationship, that is what pulled me into the whole story in the first place. I love that Dean protects his little brother and that Sam has a kind, tortured heart. I love that the show mirror's our time line and I'm damn sick and tired of Sam always getting the short end of the stick and Dean getting all the screen time. I love both characters, but even in "Sam interrupted", Dean was the focus of the episode, not Sam. I hope for a good feeling when I see the premiere of season 6, not a horrible, why am I even still watching this show, kind.

  29. bloodlace says:

I hate many soaps, and I dislike drama. Supernatural is one of the shows I am able to watch because when Sam & Dean arent pulling at the heart strings there is little drama. Sadly I think majority of people like seeing the drama between the two. I like Lisa, I like how they pulled it off. It is an unknown to us, but is obviously known to Dean. The story does not need to show us everything and walk us step by step for something to be established in it. With Lisa, they show us a glimpse of something that has already been established in the storyline but not fully revealed. Once settled I figure Dean will follow in his grandfathers footsteps and show Ben how to at least defend himself for monsters. The focus of S6 may lie in a larger family unit than what we are used to seeing, possibly adding Sam in at the end to leave the cliffhanger for a S7. This show has throw some curve balls, and I like it, it keeps me guessing when I think I know whats coming.I think people are hating on Lisa because they dont have a girl like that, or they are not a girl like that, so it seems unrealistic. Just a reminder, the entire show is unrealistic…dont hate appreciate.

  30. Bodukecnh320 says:

I want Dean to be happy and have a family like he's always wanted…but that wouldn't work until the end of the series in my opinion. I'm not really looking forward to a time jump, however, I am looking forward to things being normal again; and by 'normal' of course I mean the way it used to be when they hunted Wendigos and ghosts and vampires, I want that back and I can't wait to see how this all plays out, however I hope that Cas still gets to pop in every once in a while, I love him, he became an awesome character for the show during those two seasons.

  31. ZAW says:

well i think that he wold go back to hunting cause if you think about it its excactly what happened in season 1 with everything starting off like dean shows up and they start right back up where they left off in there child hood but just looking for there dad so i think either dean would go alone with sam or they would all just start a whole hunter gang as sam, dean, lisa, and ben but if you think about it it would be pretty cool if all of them would go into the hunting buisness yea i cant wait to see how thigns turn out

  32. MysteryMadchen says:

God I sure hope that the show doesn't advance years, but rather months. I like thatm although a fictional show, they stay current with realities time line. I'd hate to see both Sam and Dean drag Lisa and Ben or just Benny boy around with them like a shadow of what their father did with them, because that's not what this show has ever been about. It's about the brothers. Not even Ruby or Bobby or John was with them on every hunt!!! The last thing I want to see is Lisa and Ben as major character's because we'd loose that snarky male persona Dean has always had and have it replaced by daddy figure Dean traipsing the brat and his mommy around the country side and Sam would yet again but on the outskirts. YUCK! I sure don't want to see that. I hope that Dean gets tired of suburbia and leaves Lisa and her spawn, but still keeps his promise and leads the "normal life" he promised Sam he would. I hope that his thoughts of his brother in Hell keeps him from really settling into the life because I just can't see Dean relaxing and watching soccer games while Sam well done down under. I DON'T want to see dean have an insta family and then for Lisa to get killed and become the china doll reflection that you know it would turn into. "Oh she was my life, blah, blah, blah, I can't live without her, I'm now a singled parent with a brat in tow." I wan't sympathetic Sam back and snarky wisecracken, women chasing Dean back. I LOVE this show, it is my favorite but if they go the Let's drag Lisa's brat around with the brother's cause she was killed route I may just puke! Some may not like my opinion, which is fine, but I've seen too many show's I really like add a freaken kid and ruin the whole thing. And Yes I'm a Sam fan and I don't want Sam to be portrayed as evil or selfish or anything else including having to wonder if Sam is teetering on the dark side. I want the brother's to make amends, the humor to come back, and their relationship build back up. I'm really getting scared as to where season 6 might start and where it might go. I don't want it to advance into the future where Dean's the stepford dad with 2.5 kid's, a mini van and a dog name fido. Boring and not at all what I signed up for, if I wanted to watch that I would turn on leave it to beaver. I don't want to see them Kill Lisa and the spawn off either because then it makes them to important to the storyline and will make Dean all soppy and sad that he lost the great love of his life. Sam was able to pull that off and Dean was always the comic relief. Take that away from the show and what do you have??? As the stomach turns, so are the tire rotations of the Impala. I wan't skirt chasing, Dean and moral encompassing Sam. With Bobby thrown in because I just love him. If they go the route of Dean leaving Lisa because it's just not a life for him, but staying cordial and friends with him being their for Ben if he's really needed I say bring it on! Heck I'd even be up for them to turn out to be demons keeping an eye on Dean while he's in retirement. Would love it if the reason Dean get's back into hunting is because Bobby comes to him and tells him Sam's not in hell and that he's gone missing. I'd also love it if the show delved more into the boy's childhoods like feature Sam's fight with his dad, when he ran away, and what both John's and Mary's families were like. Maybe even bring up the boys hunter uncle, Mary's brother, who was mentioned when they went to visit their mothers grave. Heck even a story line about John's lineage since we've heard nothing about that. You know they boys "real family" to focus on some one night stand and her illegitimate child. But if they go the other way's I think the shows gonna spiral. Let's face it the last two years the brother's relationship has been strained at best and the audience for the most part hasn't liked it. I want to see that build back up and be what it was in the first few seasons. Dean looking after his brother and willing to die for him and what they stand for and Sam guilty for things he has no control over, sympathetic to those that aren't what they are perceived to be, and also willing to die for his brother as well. I'm really scared that the show's gonna be lost with out some outlined story to tell and make it into something it's not. I love this show, live for new episodes and I just don't want to be disappointed when I watch it. Up until now all the finales and show's I've liked some more than others but still enjoyed. Season 5's finale left a bitter taste in my mouth and kinda made my queasy. I'm afraid of how long they'll advance things, afraid that Lisa and Ben will become more than they should, and that once again Sam and Dean's relationship will be strained on the good days. Ok I'm stepping off my soap box now and praying the show's not stupid enough to do something disastrous to the best thing on TV. :)

  33. OtakuAlyx says:

I agree. I sorta agree with MM about Dean getting more screen time, when it's supposed to be about the brothers, but I have faith in the people of Supernatural, and trust that whatever they end up doing will be good for the show itself. I don't like, however, that Kripke's basically done with the show, and Sera Gamble is taking over. The episodes that she did in the past didn't agree well with me, such as "The Children Are Alright" The only part of that show I did like was Lisa and Ben. I'm definitely looking forward to season 6!

  34. MysteryMadchen says:

I don't want a new direction for the show and don't like the idea of the boys having to drag a kid around with them. I watch the show for the brother's not any kids. I understand your thoughts and respect them but don't want to see that happen with this show. :(

  35. Just Droppin In says:

No, they're hating on Lisa because the show has always been about how MALE Sam and Dean are. Adding in a female main character for Dean would take away from the shows over-all tone. I can see them doing that for Sam, but for Dean it would just be too out-of-character for him.

  36. Weisshawk says:

Not that my take matters, but here's how I see the show in a way that I think would work.We jump no more than a year. A year is easy to work with, while still giving that "time."Dean does not marry Lisa, just is with her. I might even suggest that he left her at some point in the middle, or vice versa, even after trying to make it work, where it just didn't. Leaving Dean living a "normal" life alone. Although, it still wouldn't be normal. He'd still have a gun under his pillow and a flask of holy water in his jacket. But he'd be working the job of a mechanic or something. How he gets in to hunting again? That I couldn't say. That's something I'm anxious for, and something I hope they don't screw up. Season six had better be the last season. I've seen a lot of shows go down the drain because they held on for too long.

  37. Weisshawk says:

Agreed on the whole Chuck thing. I have no idea why people are latching onto the idea of Chuck being God.

  38. Flameh says:

Ive heard that Misha has been signed on for season 6, but im not sure if it will be one episode or multiple. Either way i'll be happy as long as I get to see awkward angel Cas again

  39. Flameh says:

They can't remove the whole Sam & Dean element and make it about a larger family unit it just destroys what made me fall in love with the show. I like seeing the ups and downs of their relationship play out while theyre saving people. I liked Lisa before, but if she stays on it will throw the whole dynamic of the show off.I'm hoping they stay true to their words and go back to the classic week to week monsters while they fix the boys

  40. Flameh says:

I could see the whole God thing. If you think about it if God didn't want to be found out wouldn't he just manipulate the magic on the amulet.

  41. Sandune says:

I'm thinking the blinking light was Sam returning from Hell….Well its more of a hope than anything. I think that Sam has been possesed and "bad" for too long. I miss (like most fans) the moral compass that was Sam. Amazingly I'm not upset about the time jump (i thought I would be), but it could give Sam a longer/different experance than Dean's Hell trip. What I am worried about it the Lisa/Ben thing for two reasons. One they could kill them off… this would be horrible. It would be a Sam/Jess thing and it has been done and it would really kill Dean's character. Sam and Dean seem to go through the same things eventually and I hope ..HOPE that Lisa doesn't become Dean's Jess to Sam. The other fear is the family hunting trip….This would make Sam the 4th weel and make the chemistry of the show die a bloody…tortured death. I really like the idea of Dean and Lisa understanding that they just can't be togeather and they'll be pen pals. The writers and producers have constantly said that they love the family (BROTHER) aspect of the show and how it is a horror movie every week. I have confadence that they know what the fans love and what the show is really about. When you think about it, any time the brothers had a chance for family or more than 3 in the group …the prospects die or leave….so I think we're safe. Also I don't think Dean would go for a crouded impala.Hmm what eles…. Chuck is not God, Cas will be back (Duh), I think they will go deeper into hell and heaven in chaos, I hope they look into yonger Dean and Sam's lives, I think it would be interesting if Sam didn't tell Dean he was back and Dean found him in an awesome revealing way, I think they might bring Bella back as a bad deamon, perhaps another Ghostfacers incounter and lastly I think maybe Sam improved his mental powers and maybe that had something to do with his escape from hell….He did overpower Lucifer, so who knows! (Another scary thought…. they did say by Sam drinking too much D-Blood he would become a "monster" ..GOD I HOPE NOT!)

  42. Weltea says:

No offense but there is no way they can go back to Dean chasing one-night stands and Sam being he responsible one (also:Sam has been more selfish than Dean from the beginning, they just upped that the longer the show ran),because they aren't those people anymore, they've been through to much…I think we all want the brothers to be the focus of the show again although I can understand why Dean got more screentime (I think it's because of the actor:the Dean actor is better than the guy that plays Sams and so you need Dean if you want the viewers to relate to one of the characters. Also: Sam was the bad guy in Season 4,so he got enough screentime to show that he's not all bad but not enough that you forget that what he'S doing is wrong and hurting people around himThe killing Lisa off and making her Deans ico for revenge? Considering the things this show has pulled in the past it could very well happen.Especially with Sera Gamble in charge now – for a female writer she did not exactly manage to create a lot of interesting female characters (while some female charactrers in that show were interesting they were always written in a very misogynist(sp?) way) and all of the writers seem to like out-of.the-blue love stories…

  43. Weltea says:

    Interesting plot?Not really

  44. Weltea says:

"I think people are hating on Lisa because they dont have a girl like that, or they are not a girl like that, so it seems unrealistic. Just a reminder, the entire show is unrealistic…dont hate appreciate."I really don't think that's it. Me personally,I like Lisa but what pisses me off abot her is that the writers had her spend a weekend with Dean and still be pining after him after 8 years. And in season 5 Dean went to a woman he knows absolutely nothing about,he just likes the idea of her and he wants a family and she's convenient. Personally I find it terrible degrading as a woman to watch something like that on a show that KNOWS that most of their fans are female!!! Watching that in the finale made me a lot sadder than Sam dying did! I don't want to watch such a weak female character (not getting over a one-night stand….) and I don't want to watch a woman get used like that!

  45. Weltea says:

Also,as much as I love Chuck he would make a very pathetic god!

  46. Weltea says:

Uhm,I think you were missing the point in the show,I think what they were trying to show is was not Sam being strong enough to control Lucifer (he couldn't, after all) but his love for his brother being strong enough and important enough that Sam could take the wheel back.It had nothing to do with any powers or strengh of his!

  47. Weltea says:

no he's not!-many prophets were taken up to heaven (bibel)…-the amulet didn't burn-chuck is a loser at live that drinks and has to pay for sex and can't even hold that one crazy girlfriend he had…making him God would mean that the most powerful god is a liar and an asshole (and the writers wouldn't do that because they were always VERY christianity-friendly,they only bashed other religions ;)

"Not Sam being strong enough to control Lucifer, but his love for his brother being strong enough and important enough that Sam could take the wheel back." (Posted by Weltea)Thank you, yes, this is what I think too.The lights flickering wasn't Sam's doing- it was from whatever/whoever put him next to the street light, I think. I don't think Sam would be so cruel as not to tell Dean he is no longer in hell, or he wouldn't be there to begin with -outside of the window. Look what Sam went through when Dean was in hell, he knows better than to do that to his brother, normal life or not. So, they both went to hell, they both experienced the loss of one another, Sam got his two years of normal at Stanford, now Dean got his taste of normal too. They must have learned something right? So no, I don't think any cover ups, lying, or secrets need to happen anymore. Also, more than a year is too long of a time gap- I agree. John losing Mary started all this, Sam losing Jessica put Dean and Sam hunting together, so maybe Dean losing Lisa just follows the pattern, and brings us to the history of the Campbells and season 6.

Personally, I like the whole Idea of it. You know… the whole one brother's evil (Sam, Lucifer's Vessel) & the other one's good (Dean, Micheal's Vessel) Well… Because it's actually the complete opposite, Dean is the more …. well, he can kill people that are possessed and not care. Sam cares, he always tries to save the people. (or used to anyway)The only REAL issue I have with the show, is Sam & the demon blood, i mean he's so sweet, i cry everytime i see him drink that blood. What i would most like to see in the future, lol, honestly even though she's in ONE episode. I like her…. Jessica, i want sam to bring her back. I think it would be good for him, and he deserves it. <3

He dissapeared at the end not because he is God but because he told the story he was supposed to. He accomplished what God wanted him to do

on the whole Lisa and Ben having no real place on the show I disagree, Dean is the vessel for Michael right and vessels need to pass down whatever-the-hell gene that make them a vessel, I know that Lisa said that Ben isn't Dean's kid but she could has lied to try to keep Dean( a guy she doesn't know) out of her son's life or when taking the who's who daddy test an angel was send down to alter the results to keep the vessel(Ben?) safe.

totally agree… I mean "IF" they decided not to bring back Supernatural for a 6th season then the way they ended season 5 was by far the best Series finale EVER…It summed up everything…even down to the story of the car and its meaning to the show and the Winchester family / brothers. I think this is one of the best shows out there. I have been watching the reruns they play on the CW in Orlando, Fl. and from the first show down to the last one "Swan Song" they have done an extraordinary job with the story line. If you get a chance and they have reruns i your city as I get in mine…. WATCH them…Completely shows the writers are some BEST in the business!!! BTW …Sam is soo much hotter than Dean (love Dean and his character but Sams the man) but regardless I love them BOTH and this SHOW ROCKS!!!

It's going to be a cool show to watch, so long as they keep the '67 Impala and kill some monsters!
