Say goodbye to the war between good and evil, folks, because the Apocalypse is set to end (possibly with a bang) on the season 5 finale of Supernatural, which will be airing tonight (May 13). Series creator Eric Kripke has always stressed that he had a five year plan for the show, with the showdown between Lucifer and Michael – and possibly the Winchester brothers themselves – to play out by the end of the fifth season. When word came a few months ago that Supernatural had been renewed for a sixth season, fans were wondering “where do we go from here?”
In the last episode (see recap), Sam made an off-handed remark to Dean, asking him if he remembered the simpler days the brothers used to enjoy when hunting wendigoes. At the time I ventured a guess that season 6 might head back to the roots of the show. With the overarching mythology of the Apocalypse complete, perhaps the boys would return to monster-of-the-week type cases and stop having to worry about the battle between Heaven and Hell.
Executive producer Sera Gamble recently spoke to TV Guide and it seems like my guess may have been accurate:
Gamble announces that next season deals with life after the Apocalypse. “We will have lots of meat-and-potatoes closed-ended episodes, and we also have a season-long story arc to weave in,” she says.
Which means we’re definitely heading back to season 1 territory – where the boys focused on cases of the week while also venturing on a season long search for their father (and the Yellow Eyed Demon – although that took two seasons to fully resolve).
The question is whether fans will be happy with this. I personally like the way the Heaven versus Hell mythology played out on the show. In fact, season 4 (when the Apocalypse really started and the angels were introduced) is my favorite overall season, but there are still a lot of stand-alone episodes that I like from earlier seasons and I’m actually happy about this news. I just wonder how the brothers’ relationship will be affected. It will be difficult to do the more closed-ended episodes if the brothers’ relationship is strained, especially if they’re back to spending more of their time alone solving cases. So it will be interesting to see how that factors into the storyline.
As for the showrunner shake-up, you might all have heard that Kripke is stepping down as showrunner and Gamble is stepping into the role, although the fans have been assured that Kripke will remain as a consultant. I’m sure a lot of people have some opinions about this, but it seems like the production team is convinced that many things won’t change just because some titles are being shuffled around.
Meanwhile, apparently I haven’t been astute enough to recognize some Easter eggs hidden in the show:
Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed that the hotel rooms the Winchesters frequent are numbered in accordance with what episode it is (Room 100 for Episode 100). Gamble confesses that the production team cooks up the Easter eggs.
“It’s about visually supporting the story being told, often in a sly way that sort of winks at the audience,” she reveals. “Check out the room number on the door in the Casa Erotica tape in ‘Hammer of the Gods.’”
UPDATE: Read another spoiler article we posted on May 17 about season six.
I knew they had to add more, and hope they keep it going strong. Supernatural is one of if not thee best series I ever have seen. I look forward to season 6 and hopefully more.
I dont get the season finale!! Did sam get returned to dean since lucifer and michael are in the cage?? If so w hy did the street light go out?? Does he still have demon blood in him or what???
Todays episode was good…but i think that the angel scenarios are most eye catching… Now that heaven might be in chaos as Cass said it mite b wise to continue the direction the show is heading rather than "going back" . There are so many things that could still be done even including the other archangels …Cas now back in full affect, heaven and earth needing fixing and with a hell of a season finale maybe with God coming into the picture.. Fans are waiting for a lot so it might be awkward to try taking ithings back when the directors can do so much more and get so much more into it and push to give it that Supernatural stoey line. Fans have been waiting for.
I was under the impression the writers said early on that "God" would be appearing in the show, they just didn't say where or when, but that he would. I didn't see him, in any episodes, and what was with the "prophet" disappearing in the end….HE was certainly not God….Just kind of confused.
They need to tie into the history of the Colt. Maybe have a few stories set in the old west with the origin of the pistol.
I got the impression God could be anyone or anything and think maybe the impala has a double life we dont know about.
I got the impression that the impala may have a double life we dont know about. In previous episodes we were told God could be anyone or anything.
The prophet, certainly was(In my opinion)… After all his character had almost complete unbridled control of how the story line played out once he came into the picture.
I don't think God is the car, especially considering Dean's ammulate was suppose to burn white hot in the presence of God, so said Cas. And I'm wondering if the cage could only hold 1 angel and if Lucifer and Michael duked it out down there with Lucifer being victorious… And yeah I thought the prophet could be God
seems like weird tho, since the prophet/aka god? said that Dean would not return to hunting. The prophet has to be god… He always had the answer and the whole character is based on a guy who makes up the story, just as god and we know god is somewhere on earth. season 6 will prob be about the past. like what one guy said here, about the history of the colt and perhaps how Dean got his neckless. the one Sam have gotten from Bobby, even tho it didnt work its a huge questionmark how they got something that special…And it seems weird that just as Dean get what he always wanted from the start, he would go back to his old hunting life. tho they have given him the look that he never wanted the normal life, its leading up to this..
there are so many things that i want to know about with that ending…like with chuck..and dean…and sam is he back as the devil or sam? and then will the brothers ever be able to work it out with their younger brother…and did anyone else get the impression that when the devil and michael were facing each other they sounded exactly like sam and his brother arguing about their dad john winchester???maybe that was supposed to draw the connection between the two father figures in their lives???
Chuck (the prophet) is definitely God. he was aware of everything, and the whole disappearing into thin air and helping Dean by telling him where the show down was going happen, is proof. He was writing the Gospel of Sam and Dean in relation to the Apocalypse and as we all know every story comes to an end and he left his ending wide open possibly for a new Gospel to be written by a different prophet. I know it doesn't explain the situation with Dean's, amulet but i'm sure being God he could find a way around that. And in regards to Michale and Lucifer what father would not like to have his two brats put on time out by someone else so that he doesn't have to deal with them himself. .
So didn't Chuck the prophet die earlier in the season?
i have mixed emotions about a sixth season while im happy its not over i have a fear the story will be butchered but i like how they threw in the comment about fans whining and being unhappy towards the end yet it was said that dean never hunts again…/ so how can there be another season and did anyone else get the feeling that the prophet ( i apologize i forgot his name) was god the whole time. anyone have any thoughts/
For season 6 they should dive head-long into the beautiful luscious insanity of the Cthulhu mythos. I don't know about licensing issues but there is so much content that could be gleaned from HP Lovecraft's works. :)
Perhaps it is Sam's ghost? or maybe the cage only holds one angel and Lucifer got out but Michael was stuck
I think they can go back to the old but still have cass or god send them to do some work so it would not all turnning back the hole story line all the way. You know work in as there looking for there next job
I agree. This last and final episode left me with an empty feeling and too many questions. If Season 6 returns to basic hunting, it won't make any sense.
This show is one of my favs, glad it will be back. Love that Mark Pellegrino who plays Jacob on LOST plays Lucifer in Supernatural. Season 6 will focus more on the brothers and the old school stuff. Hope Dean is back with his wisecracks!
I love this show and I'm faithful to watching it every single thursday. I even watch the reruns that are on TNT now. I have to say though I am more of a fan of the first few seasons. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed watching cass and all the other angels but I missed the monsters of the week shows perhaps it would be nice to see some of both… I think that in season 6 sam will probably be disappointed that dean actually went through with his promise and did not try to find a way to bring him back. Or if that isn't so he will probably continue to hunt on his own not wanting to bother dean's new life. Either way they will find their way back to each other because hunting is their life or should I say wife lol. And neither one of them will truly be happy unless they are together doing what they love most (hunting)… I cried for along time during the end of the finale until I seen sam standing there. I just have to wonder how my heart will be broken next season…
i am just curious about sam, how he is back and how the relationship of sam n dean will go on from here.i like this series and i hope it keeps up in the next season.
Oh yeah about sam infamous return… I think that it is really sam. I think that god brought him back as an reward for following through on what he was supposed to do it showed that sam is good. There's no way God was going to leave him down there. Either way I can't wait for my questions to be answered.
It may be that it wasn't god that brought Sam back. Didn't Death imply that he may be older than god when Dean asks him how old he is? He says,"As old as God, maybe older…" so he may be as powerful as God no? It could be Death rewarded Dean with his brother. I believe that Death will be a major character seeing as he wants to reap God.

the season 5 finale tonight was amazing, with the ending leaving you to question whether or not it was sam or the devil that was standing outside lisa's house, i think it was sam. but that instance, along with chuck saying "nothing really ends, does it?" leads us to question whether or not the battle between heaven in hell is really over. i hope they don't go back to a monster-of-the-week type plot. although it was good, supernatural has had major plot developments and going back to a season 1 story would be a step down.
Is it possible that the cage could only hold the angels but not the body of a man? That could be why Sam is back right?Anyhow, I hope the sixt season does not go back to the monster of the week storyline, the serie improved by the longer storylines in later seasons!
I just want to throw my theory out there and see what you think.Chuck was most definitely God.And how did Sam get back out? I immediately thought that it was Lucifer fulfilling his promise to Sam, he told Sam that after he fought Michael, he would make sure Dean, Sam (and their parents) would be alive and happy. So perhaps Lucifer and Michael continued their battle in the cage, and in the cage they'd need no vessels, so Lucifer let Sam go like he said he would.
I agree with a lot of the posts here… I think returning to the old format would not make sense. You can't go from angels and demons, God and Satan to hunting Wendigos in the woods of Wisconsin! There's still so many things they could do with this storyline… God is still missing, Heaven is in chaos, and I think the writers need to continue this storyline to wrap everything up. I also think the writers missed a big chance when they had Bobby, Cas and Sam stop the release of the Croatoan virus. I thought it would have made an excellent storyline. Sam and Dean living in a apocalyptic world, trying to find survivors and just trying to survive.
what in the world?!…. did GOD set Sam free or is Sam a powerful demon from the demon blood ? is there going to be a season 6 or not? what the hell?!…. what kind of ending is that
if you're right, maybe it will be about the entire winchester family (including adam) trying to live a normal life?
If you have seen all Supernatual on DVD (season 1 thru 4) And the special features then you would know that they will not go back to the ;past. That story is done. As for the history of the Colt. Watch Season 1 and watch Dead Man's Blood. The history of the Colt is told in that Episode. As for Dean's neckless. It was explained in season 3 A Very Supernatural Christmas. So there is no why they will look back at the past. It would be like doing that story all over again and that is not going to happen. That story is done. And a new story is coming in season 6.
Well, I personally hope they do go back to their roots. I've never really liked the Apocalypse storyline. I guess the implication that anyone but God can bring about the end of the world just rubs me the wrong way. I do love Cass though. I hope they keep him in the show.
My first thought after seeing the return of Sam was sadness. If the series is to go on then Dean will need a reason to keep hunting. And since heroes are seldom allowed to be happy I assume that Sam is experiencing the worst possible torture. That of having his possessed body used to destroy/kill Dean's new family before Dean realizes it and can find a way to set him free from Lucifer. We got a preview of what's to come next when it was revealed that Satan used Sam's best and most trusted friend to kill his chance of a normal life and send him on the hunter's path I think next season will come full circle and although I dread it I know I wont be able to tear myself away from watching it anyway.
I hope for a next season with the brothers back together fighting and hunting things like the writers said it would be. Like Season 1 was.I hope they bring the boys back together and not give us episodes where they'll be Sam alone and Dean with Lisa. But then again the writers promised they'll bring them back together this season and they did't deliver. So I don't know if you call this bitching, but these are my two cents.
Jeb How long have you watched Supernatual? If you have watch seasons 1 thur 4 then you would know that the history of the colt has all ready been told and if you have Supernatural season 1 thru 4 and then watch season five you would know that that seasons story is done and over with. Remember the writer thought they were only going for 5 season. So they wrap that story up. Now that the writers know that there is going to be a 6 season. they are ghoing to write a new story because the old one is finished and the are not going back to it. You see season 1 &2 were the beginning of the story. Season 3 & 4 were the middel of the story and season 5 is the end of the story that will led to the next great story. And that story will be new and have nother to do with the old story. That story is done ond over with. If you have Supernatural seasons 1 thru 4 and watch the special features then you would know that that story is done and over with. There will be nother of the old story in season 6. It wll be a whole new story. And new bad a** demon they will have to take down. So guess what? You are going to watcg the DVDs and see that that story is over. And that you will see the orgin of the colt. You can even watch Dead Man's Blood. And you will see John tell the history of the colt.
The season finale was awesome, but in season 6 i heard that the showrunner want to go back and add something from the first season what made supernatural that is today. BUT! i think that in season six there a lot of thing that need to be explain first like: What happen to Archanger Rafael?, How Lucifer escape from the hell's cage (At the end of season 5 the light of a pole start to flashing off and Sam?(lucifer) appear on front of Dean's grilfriend's house; And what happen to Archangel Michael (Adam) can he made out from the hell's cage too?; JO or Ellen are they in hell or heaven ?(in Dark Side of the Moon, when Ash could find Dean and Sam but he didnt know that Ellen and Jo are dead or in heaven)Who is really God? and if Chuck is really God (at the end of the season he vanished from the air)?; I would like that Jeffrey Dean Morgan comes back for this last season and adding to this, if the showrunner wants to do this season about brothers relationship maybe the influence of Jeffrey Dean Morgan (papa winchester) can gets the brothers back. Theres two more request, like i read the seasons that made supernatural's rating goes up is season 4 and season 5 when the whole thing about angels, God, lucifer and demons story, try to no forget about that storyline. and when they finish season 6 if they dont do another season they could do a Supernatural Video Game too ( that could sell a lot) that include the whole storyline from season 1 till the last season (season 6 if they dont do any other) and maybe could be like Grand Theft Auto mode, obviously with more high definition and optionally could be 3D (like Batman Arkaham Asylum) well just saying.
Remember the deal between Lucifer & Sam? Seems Sam won the fight… so can we expect Mom & Dad to return?
I've really enjoyed Supernatural throughout all of the seasons and I am looking forward to the upcoming season.
In my opinion, God did appear in the show. I believe the theories posted as the car being God are very close to the truth. The car is the Ark of the Covenant, as it carried: the green soldier, the legos, and the carvings. It doesn't take a huge leap to find similarity of these to: the rod, the manna, and the tablets. Thus, God was present as he was able to be seen by humans (after all, who can you really get to play a God?… aside from Morgan Freeman, of course)
I think Sam is returning as a ghost since the light was blinking when he showed up and it has always been a sign of ghost showing up. (the whole theory of the EMF thing…?) And I don't think Chuck is god. There was one episode that Chuck almost got caught by either deamons or angels, I don't really remember, and there was another episode that Sam&Dean asked him how could the story comes to his mind and he said he woke up one day and the story is in his head. How can he be god if he almost got caught by deamons or angels and how can he be god without knowing that he is?Anyways, this is the best show whatsoever. I will keep watching it as long as it exists. Wait for the new season!

I like that thought, it really seems to make sense!!! I just wonder how that will fit with the back to the roots storyline.
After a major story line…spanning more than two episodes, I think it will be odd to go back to a one episode case. On the other hand, after a long battle, it will be nice to return to the "easy" life. But that's implying that things will return to usual. After the "battle," Sam's return, and Dean finding a family (the one thing he has always been searching for) will they go back to hunting; with a "son," Dean won't want to drag him into that. Watching his brother die, his life morph into an unfamiliar place around him, has changed the elder Winchester brother. Lets not forget about Sam though. Yes he sacrificed himself to save Dean and the world (which I might add i would have been extremely upset had the show ended like that) but he changed. Something about having the devil in him, forced a new Sam to emerge; one that I don't think would want to pull his brother away from his new life or one that would not go back to solving cases every week. I might be going out on a limb here, but in that last scene, I don't think it was the "right" Sam. For one the light burst, which I don't think was from a faulty bulb, and (here comes the limb) he had an odd look on his face. If it was the real Sam, I think he would have smiled, a smile for his brother's new life, but he didn't he had a sense of anger and displeasure. One that seemed to say that he was back and pissed and out for some sort of vengeance, what I have no idea but one none the less. The coming season will be interesting. and if things continue this way for the Winchester's there is still a long bumpy road ahead.
how the hell are they gana go back to hunting when sam and dean arent together any more!!!! dean settled down he promised he wont try to bring back sam so how is season 6 gana be back to hunting!
They'll reunite the brothers and bring them back together somehow. Sam is obviously back from Hell (although we don't know exactly *what* he is right now). But I'm sure the writers will find a way to get the boys back together again and back to hunting. The only question is how long it will take.
I definitely get what you're saying. A lot of people are intrepreting that last scene with Sam differently. I like to think that God brought Sam back from Hell and it was Sam again (not a spirit or Lucifer or anything like that). I don't know if Sam has an extra abilities as a result of what happened to him, but I took his look to mean that he was torn about what to do with Dean – that he wanted to tell his brother he was alive again, but didn't want to pull him away from his normal life because he thought that was what his brother wanted. On the other hand, I believe that we will eventually see that Dean isn't satisfied with having a normal life, especially one that doesn't include his brother. I think that Sam will choose to let Dean believe he's still in Hell and will go off on his own, but that the brothers will eventually be reunited in season 6.That's just my interpretation of what happened and what might happen. On the other hand, maybe I'm wrong and there is something really different about Sam. I just really think that the Apocalypse storyline is wrapped, so I don't think we'll see Sam as Lucifer again. If there's something different about Sam, then I don't think it's because he's still being possessed by the devil. We'll have to wait and see!
well the light above same flickered so you can assume it wasnt sam. but perhaps it isnt the devil since they dont want to continue with that plot
I agree, I have not started watching the eppys of season 6 but I wonder if sammy will go dark side in this season? What`s the point having him with demon blood if it doesnt affect him or cause him to have side effects of it???
and chuck answered the phone miss magda, as in mary magdalen, a prostitute who jesus loved and possibly married. i love how they add these things in, best show ever
i think the last episode was very very effective and emotional and i can proudly say jensen and jared are 2of the best actors ever.i really cried when in the scene that lucifer(sam) was hitting dean hard and dean said to him sami its ok im here im not gonna leave you.oh god if you look into his eyes in that moment you could really feel that sense in there i really love him as an actor.about season 6 i think it cant be just the root storyline and headback to season 1.as the others say there are too many questions that should be answered and many new subjects can be made.this will make sense not just being like oldtimes, they can make the show like season 4 and 5 which the main story runs and through that the normal huntings and such things are there too.supernatural is the best series ever.for me it is.and i will follow it until the end.but i hope season 6 will be as well as other ones and wont screw our favorite show.
I ABSOLUTLY LOVE THIS SHOW. i have a question though. in the 5 season finale how is that sam came back. did god step in. is the devil still possessing him. i cant wait for next season. i hope that there will be many more to come. To the guys who wrote this show yall are doing great and i hope you continue…………oh and by the way jensen ackles is on fire. both the brothers are awesome.lol
Is it not possible that God could have sorta done something like Gabriel – His own witness protection? Maybe those things were just to protect His alter ego. And if Chuck is not God then who? He clearly sin't human, seeing as he disappeared at the end. And the white shirt kinda seemed symbolic of something. On another note, could Sam possibly be Michael? People are throwing theories about the cage only being able to hold one angel – so what if it was Michael that got out and possessed Sam? I mean, he was pretty p***ed about Dean interrupting the battle after saying no to him. Maybe he wants revenge for causing him to fall into the pit. Finally, I hope that Cas returns next season and also another character I want to come back is Gabriel. I know he was killed, but surely if God brought Castiel back – twice – then He should bring Gabriel back too? Just wishful thinking I guess, seeing as he's one of my all time fave characters!
i want them to introduce god and see deans necklace glow. Also what is the deal with the final episode? Is Lucifer still inside of Sam? i think they should honestly do some good stuff with half of the season on the Apocalypse before they start going back to the old days, they can definitely twist some things and make it crazy and shocking. but WHEN THE HELL DOES SEASON 6 Premiere??!?!?!?!?!?!?! and does anyone know anything about the vampire diaries? between that and supernatural being over i have nothing to look forward too in thursday nights from 8-10 hahaha
what ever happened to the kid that was half demon he should of been part of the apocolypse as he could kill all demons and i think the devil was even worried bout him
Syd – What you said about Lisa's son made me think, maybe Lisa gets killed (by a demon ?) and Dean (maybe Sam too) takes her son on the road with him and teaches him how to hunt. They could make him a little older (the kid). Remember, the kid is almost a mini-me of Dean. And Dean was in the 6th grade when he made his first sawed off shotgun – (from the rabbit's foot episode when they found their Dad's storage place). I think that would be a good story line that they could carry through with. I don't think the prophet was God though. I also think that Sam will be different after his experience in hell. Dean was changed after he was brought back by Cas from hell. Hope they bring back their dad too. And Adam could come back and help them fight but that might be too many characters. I'm ready for the next season now!!! Love this show. They couldn't have gotten any better actors to play the bros.
well chuck says that the story came to him when he woke up, but in the finale he is clearly coming up with the ending to the story. As for the angels and demons thing, he could have just been using that as a cover so that people wouldnt know he is god
Does anyone know when season 6 is supposed to start?
Yeah I think Heaven will be involved occasionally. I think Cas may make the occasional apperance as he will spend most of his time organizing the chaos in Heaven. I think Sam and Deans relationship will be the main focal point, with allthat they have been through. Sam will have deeply changed and probably not for the better and Dean will have become much softer. He will probably not want to hunt anymore and protect his new family from any danger that may bring. I think there will be a lot of chaos on Earth that will take them on one ep hunts but there will probably be a storyline that weaves through the whole season. Its going to be like a darker season 1 with Sam and Deans characters in reverse…
I was wondering about that too! I think if Chuck is God then he did not bring Sam back at the end because he said that Dean would not go back to hunting anytime soon, he promised Sam. Unless Sam plans on hunting alone and leaving Dean to his apple pie life….never going to turn out that way though.
September. Not sure the exact date yet, but likely mid-to-end September.
[...] Supernatural Season 6 Spoilers – After the Apocalypse, What's Next … [...]
Supernatural has moved to Fridays at 8:00pm. So when Vampire Diaries comes back. You will need to find something to watch at 9:00pm. Whatever took Supernatural spot, I am boycotting that show because it took Supernatural spot. Supernatural fans, join with me with the boycott, so the show that took Supernatural slot can get canceled and Supernatural can be moved back to Thursdays at 9:00pm
i dont really think it would be that great to go back the way things were when the end of the world was here. What happened to the big battle between Michael and Lucifer? Wheres GOD? How did Sam get out? Where is Michael? Is GOD gonna finally step in, there are so many UNANSWERED questions and for the show to go back to square one doesnt make sense to me. they should show the aftermath while Lucifer is destroyin the earth with the croatoan virus unleash and etc throughout the season until God has to finally step in. Meanwhile, Dean is enjoyin his life in the beginnin then he gets a call from Bobby tellin him whats been goin on and cas comes down from heaven to try and find God again with the help of Dean and Bobby and the big battle between God and the Devil, it should be something to that effect if season 6 is the last season.
i think they should get into bens real dad, theres no real history on him so he could end up being someone unexpected like another hunter or something
well you never know maybe sam got out of hell him self like so many other demons do and he became a demon and maybe he still has his own body because he went in to the hell cage with his body
or maybe lucifer is still inside Sam but now Sam is using lucifer's powers instead of lucifer using Sam, because at the end Sam got control of him before he jumped into hell. Maybe Sam learned how to keep control and is now even more powerful than lucifer with all that demon blood in him too.
I love the series and seeing Sam at the end of season 5 made me want to see more. You guys cant just leave us with Dean woundering what hes going to do next in his life and Sam spying on him through a window. I think you guys should just make the sixth season telling us about how they plan on living their new lives, without hunting, just normal lives. Have Sam come back and suprise Dean and tell him all about his experience in hell. Let Sam go back to school and find a nice beautiful girlfriend, and Dean start a home life with a wife and kids. Then have Dean start to teach his kids the family business along with Sam. Let Sam and Dean retire and let Deans kids finish the jobs. Truthfully i think everyone just wants to see Sam and Dean happy. Have Deans kids work a job where they bring their grandparents, John and Marys, sprits back and have Sam and Dean officially tell them goodbye and have John tell Sam and Dean hes been watching over them and he is very proud of them, and have Mary tell them she loves them and has been with them the whole time and will always be watching over them as well. I think that would be a good ending to the series and i think it would satisfy everyone.

How can Chuck be god? Deans ammulate didn'tburn white hot in his presense. HE's a prophet…. not GOD. that's how he knows where Dean and Sam are going. He would get visions and write about what they were doing.Enoch and Elijah in the bible were the only people who didn't die on earth because God took them. Maybe God did that to chuck as well..you never know
but as you said Dean's ammulate was supposed to burn white hot in the presense of God. But it didn't with Chuck so he is just a prophet as was told. He's not GOD
when is Supernatural Season 6 come out???
i think the heaven and hell thing is not over… look at the last episode of season 5… sam standing outside of the house that dean was in… and he didnt have a friendly look on his face… something might have happend and something might have gone wrong… im not to sure that everything is gonna go back and be hunky dory again…
Question: Is there any significence in the fact that Dean was able to kill an angel? Cass had said that only an angel could kill another angel. Also from that scene why was Dean able to look directly at Zachariah without getting his eyes burned out? (everyone else lost their eyes by looking directly at the angels) Cass also said that "the righteous man who broke the first seal was the only one who could end it" It didn't seem like that happened. Was the Supernatural lore just lost in how the episodes were written. I know they can't keep all the loose strings tied up.
I've been wondering about that too. Did anyone else notice the look on Dean's face when he killed Zachariah? Sort of surprised and the white glow in his eyes…did killing an archangel change Dean somehow?
It has been reported that season 6 will begin a while after the end of season 5…not sure how long, but that could explain Chuck's comment about Dean not seeing Bobby for a long time.
I haven't had this much fun with a series since Stargate and Lost. This has to be the most under rated unadvertised series ever. Can't wait for season 5.
I meant season 6!!!
HI GUYS MY NAME IS EDDIE…….NOW I THINK WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN IN SEASON SIX IF IT DOES……IS THIS WHOLE HEAVEN HELL THING SHOULD HAPPEN AND AT THE END SAM AND DEAN FIGHT……..AND DEMONS AND ANGELS…..UMMM THEM OTHER GODS FIGHT IN THAT BATTLE GROUND I THINK THAT A WAR SHOULD HAPPEN AND THEY SHOULD BRING BACK JOHN WINCHESTER IT WELL BE GOOD IM TELLING YEAH GUY IT WOULD
what about the half demon blood kid who's so powerful…..he's still out there, should be sumthin about him right?
Jesus CHRIST. Wall of text.I'm pretty sure he meant more awesome things from the past that they discover in the present like the gate to hell and the huge devils trap.It doesn't matter if they've TOLD us the history, it would be badass to see it all go down. Demons in the Wild West? Hell yes.Now get off your high horse, bitch.
At the end of season 5 Sam goes into the pit, and then at the very end the camera pans out and he is standing there. Sam said yes to Satan, and Adam said yes to michael, and they are about to fight, sam takes satan, michael, and adam into the pit. I think Sammy is still possesed by satan and Dean will need to beat hm outta sammy. OR find a way to get him out.
woooooaah. I never noticed that.
hi Eddie. Turn off your caps lock
Chuck couldn't tell Dean he was GOD 'cause then he would of been on his back telling, asking why, demanding… Armageddon etc….God-Chuck wanted man, angel, demon to decide for themselves what they're willing to do ….If Dean or any man for that matter had all the answers, knew for a certainty that He was watching, would they have gone to the limit,do what had to be done … I really doubt it. They aren't women…hahaha
WTF! you all know NOTHING! Wait until Season 6 starts, you Freaks! lol
i like the potability of the show returning to season 1 type episodes. i just hope that the brother relationship isn't ruined completely…
possibility i mean
Everyone is saying that Chuck is not God because of the amulet, but doesnt ayone remember when Dean and Sam were in heaven. The spoke to Joshua (the angel who talks to God) and he told them God said to stop looking for him and forget about the ammulate because it wont work.
i love supernatural and i hope they go back to the way they use to in season 1 instead of the stress of the deavil and god
did anybody think that maybe Dean, could be more than just a human…
I mean he went to hell, he was dragged back and it is when he came back he started acting weird and
doing ''impossible things'' . It wasn't the killing of the Archangel that changed him it was everything that
happened to him. How is that for season 6 topic…. :D… Dean with powers haha :D (i'm awesome!! just kidding)
what more do you think they will do I mean sams already in hell what more is there? Unless they do sams point of view but still.
im sorry but did you not watch the end of "Swan Song"? HE IS OUT OF HELL! ffs before you comment watch the fucking show
it's halfway there. It is written that sam must fight dean which they didn't last time … now sam is filled with demon blod, dean can kill an angel (zachariah) … they should posses the same power level. As it is written, they should have the fight someday
Very disapointed with this season opener. Afer 5 years of where I did not even see a bad episode, the season 6 opener was dull and did not have the same feel. It lacked chemistry and style we were so used to. Killer "gin's" that to destroy you beat with golf clubs and next week is about a "killer baby" !?! I realize that after the end of season 5 and the end of the world, its tough to get started again. I am still a big fan of the show and am not giving up yet. There is a whole season to go, but I really hope that things pick up and the original feel of the show returns. Otherwise, in my mind, the 5 season run was the end of one of the best shows ever made.
Very much agree. Not up to their usual quality for the first episode of season 6.
if the writers think that making Sam hard and disconnecting Sam and Dean.
Sam and Dean's fraternal connection were the heart of the first five seasons. If the demons could figure it out why can't the new producer? Helllo? IQ of 8 needed here… Stop trying to make Sam all tough and full of hardass, and reconnect Sam and Dean.
I don't care who is cousins with whom.
I care, like 100% of the Supernatural fans, about the fraternal connection between Sam and Dean.
Yeah… if you've pulled it out of the rest of the episodes, you're failing.
Epic fail.
As a loyal fan of the series I was looking foward to the 1st episode of season 6…but came away some what dissapointed last night after seeing it. I'm not sure what it is, but it felt a little off. As mentioned by Twutting, it didn't have the same feel. I hope that's not a sign of things to come and the preview of next weeks episode didn't seem any more encouraging. I hope things pick up more in future episodes. As someone who hardly ever watches tv, Superntural is the only tv series I've ever followed, one that I enjoyed and one that has kept my attention from the get go…
id like to start off saying i totally agree with most of you on here saying the season open was shit yea wow i wanted to puke
Supernatural is my favoritee t.v. show and ive loved every single episode except for that one. it was terrible, had a different fee,l the pacing
was aful, and it had a massive plot hole, massive! since when you can kill gins with a fucking golf club! if i remember correcly it was clearly established in season 2 how gins were killed. now with all that said I feel the past two episodes were great the feel really came back and some old elements were used to make it feel like Supernatural the show i love and yes i uinderstand somethings are different but it has to be to an extent its a new season people, so you cant do the same thing over and over agian it wouldnt work so yes there always have to be different things in the seasons to disguish them and that was showed in all the other seaons as well. But whats important is keeping your overall feel to the show consistent and i feel they did that with episodes 2 and 3.
The whole Apocalypse thing was just too lame. I stopped watching half way through Season 5. It was like they decided to Jump the Shark is a big way. I started watching Season 6 after deciding that maybe they'd get back to what originally made it popular. Yesterdays episode brought back that stupid angel character. I flipped it off.
Why don't they get another character like Harry Dresden. Paul Blackthorne isn't doing anything after getting offed on The Gates. Now that would be some great Supernatural episodes!!!
